I'm very happy that we've gone to the Qld Cup to find talent. If he is dominating at that level he is easily on par with Wright, Mills and Feki as a first grade wing option, and a good NSW Cup fullback replacement for Isaac Gordon.

Defense will be the real test, but it's good to see a young guy from Qld Cup earn himself a contract.

I agree Burgess when looking at reserve grade players I think we really need to be spending more time looking at QLD Cup. IMO it is a superior competition and I think this shows in the talent that comes out of there. Alot of these blokes that burst into the scene from nowhere come from the QLD Cup.

As for your post MB that isn't confirmation but I will stay confident that we will get him.

He actually played Toyota cup for Penrith, I know they produce plenty of players but you'd think the would of kept him for NSW cup.

He must of improved a lot since then.

Another player who dominated qld cup was Tim Smith. He lefts easts for dead to come to us and how well did that work out haha.

It's just another case of a player who breaks into first grade and kills it for a season and then struggles forever after that.

Na pretty sure he went over seas, Came back into the Queensland cup with easts tigers I think the club is. A guy I talk to at work was responsible for turning around that club financially. In return he got a Job on the Queensland rugby league board. Always trying to get the goss off him but he keeps a tight lip about things.
