Goes into Blues camp.

Be tough since he played last night but surely he’s a better start than Saifiti..

its his defence, thats what you need to look at

it was 10-10 when he returned to action against the titans and we won 8-0

he was also off the field when the dogs scored, so since he has been back, and on the field, teams havent scored a point

he has also done his job with his runs, but you are right, he wont give us big numbers like an rcg, paulo, vaughan, simply because he isnt that type of player.
Yep

Also, his short passing in the middle is ultra valuable, it’s a little thing but it makes a world of difference

dale has been back for 210 minutes of football, and in that time, we have only conceded 2 tries

that isnt a coincidence

the man is unreal
I think someone shared a stat earlier about the rest of the forwards tackle efficiency when Dale was playing compared to when he isn't. He's so good he makes everyone job around him so much easier.

Anyone know our winning percentage when Dale has played a full game in our side?

I had a quick look. On my count 7 wins and one loss (Canberra rd1). I didn't count Storm game where he only lasted 8 mins.

7-1 with Dale for a total of 214 scored, 88 conceded
3-4 without him or he gets injured, scored 148, conceded 172

Our average score in games Dale finishes healthy is 23.8 to 9.8, in other games it is 21.1 to 24.6
That is an immense difference in defence and while you must consider many other factors, seems relevant.
You wanna know what is even crazier, he didn't play round 7 or 14 which is our 1st and 3rd highest scores of the season!

As for the team tackling better...

Total team tackle % with him is 87.9%, without him (completing game) is 86.9%
So I probably wouldn't call that statistically relevant, although no account made for when he is on vs off the field, **** calculating that.
Stats with him are probably somewhat skewed by Canberra round ones 80.5%, our worst tackle efficiency by some margin. Our next worse was 83.6, 85.4 and 85.8 all which were without Dale.
The with percent goes up to 88.8% if we don't include that Canberra game, our only loss he has finished healthy.
He was also in for (the best) 2 out of 3 games we broke 90%

Since his return we have conceded 22 points in 3 games

He hasnt been on the field for any of them
So statistically he should be playing 80 mins each week and we will never drop a game!!

His personal defensive stats aren't that great since his return

BUT i'm not discounting what he brings to the team

He's like a quicker Tolman that isn't quite as good defensively but is a better passer and motivator

I think is one of those cases where stats dont tell the full picture of Dale's value to the team.

I reckon even @burgess1978 would struggle to graph his full contribution.
