Can’t see it, long odds to be even in the mix, NSW won’t make a change unless injury.

For all the people screaming for the Fox to play both Tupou & To’o we’re more than ok,

I can’t see us making any changes unless injury, S Crichton for Staggs?

Form wise, Sims possibly for Crichton?
I dunno why Matterson is supposedly on the outer, he played bugger all minutes & to put a line through him has me scratching my head he’s now drop worthy.

Tupou and staggs have both said they're representing Tonga so won't be picked for game 2

I wonder how many Maroons players have told Slatter that they will be playing for Tonga or other islander nations instead of QLD?

You think Sims holds start/spot?
Wouldn’t surprise me but I hope not

Some changes may be forced if players elect to play internationals over Origin

Pappalii, Val and Kafusi are all starters for Australia and would assume Mal has been in Tino's ear that he will be in the team as well if he doesn't choose to represent Samoa.

I believe Fittler will remember Sims performance from last series & stick, other than his DCE brain fade try he wasn’t horrible, if there is a form selection that’s the one that sticks out.

That area (edges) desperately needs to improve though, I like ACrichton for it. Not sure how Friz went last weekend.
Haumole & Keaon both named in Tonga team.

Staggs and Tupou also so we bring back JAC and start SCrichton which opens up a bench utility spot probably for Hynes

They pledged their commitment to Tonga for WC but if form warrants or no injury they’ll play out SOO series
I hate origin for many reasons, but this is probably my number 1

I respect players wanting to play for their mother country but if the choose it over Origin then they should be barred for life. Different when the play at the end of the year etc.

Surely NSW management would have asked them this before being selected for Origin 1? If not then more fool them

For me, international League is far more important than this fake state vs state ****.

They shouldn't have to choose.
Agreed. Nothing wrong with playing for your state but choosing to play for your home country… one is literally where you’ve grown up, there shouldnt be as much allegiance needed for it.

It puts players in a hard position

I don't think Dale has been that brilliant since coming back as he is a player that is held to a higher standard so that might seem harsh.
Just hasn't brought as much back to the team as we thought when he was missing from it. But there is probably alot he does bring back that we don't see or notice on the field

His runs are ok and his passing before the line is quicker than alot of forwards but their are other players doing a better job in defense than him such as Tolman and Wade, even Rudolf arguably

Good to have his leadership back though and no doubt he will come very good - I think the bloke just went through concussion, injury and covid so that would knock anyone around

In your head, rent free
its his defence, thats what you need to look at

it was 10-10 when he returned to action against the titans and we won 8-0

he was also off the field when the dogs scored, so since he has been back, and on the field, teams havent scored a point

he has also done his job with his runs, but you are right, he wont give us big numbers like an rcg, paulo, vaughan, simply because he isnt that type of player.

Can expect it'd take a couple of weeks to get back up to speed after a long lay off. Getting covid wouldn't have helped.
