Fitz - Irvine might be correct and infact in the long term of the club perhaps so however I don't feel he should be wriing these comments if he wants to be re-elected. Rothield has pretty much killed his chances at re-election.

To be honest this is not worth being included in the paper...its just stupid..

Craig Douglas is more important to the Cronulla Sharks than Paul Gallen.

That is no insult or devaluation of Paul Gallen by the way.

I tend to agree as well. I am not a massive Gallen fan and given what Douglas has done its probably true.
But in all honesty what an absolute dumb thing to say by Irvine. I mean why would ya.
All the more reason why going forward he is not the best candidate to be on the board.
Irvine gets too involved in all the social media crap - twitter, facebook, forums etc

lets hope that people who read the paper and look at facebook, think rationally about the comment and see it for its true meaning.

The fact is the players/coaching staff cant stand the bloke. Perception is everything. Why even draw a comparison between a player and an accoutant? It is stupid to even bring gallens name in on the whole thing.

He can disappear for all i care. I only have to look at the lack of rumours coming from people 'in the know' to know where in information came from. Info has dried up on here because Irvine is no longer in a position to feed the rumours. So to come on here and bag Irvine, i know what i am in for.....

Most people with half a brain who actually know anything about the club will probably agree with his comment but for the average punter reading the Telegraph today they are just gonna think 'what a dick head'. Regardless of the full conversation, in the current climate with Rothfield etc, it was a dumb and unnecessary thing to say and has done himself no favours.

I've never been a fan of board members engaging in social media, it's unprofessional for their positions IMO. Leave that stuff to the blokes underneath them.
