Bruno Cullen was not appointed by the NRL - He is assembling a formidable admin team based on those available that have the best experience for the job. This is what the sharks brought him in to do.

Why did the NRL give them up - its likely David Smith is bringing in his own people and they needed a job. This happens all the time when a new CEO comes into a large organisation.

Thats how I see it as well Tips I was a bit worried when Cullen came in at first but his first chat with the press put to bed any fears I had and to find out we had already been talking to him before as well.

These people all have a ****-load of experience and its something we need that and a stable board!

I would love to see a comparison between all Sydney clubs, would draw a much more informed picture of exactly where we are at as a footy club.

I too need to ask the question about why all the NRL heavy hitters. They wouldn't come cheap and we are still 3M + in debt.

I agree Fitzy they would't come cheap but in the big scheme of things its better to pay top dollar with the people with experiance to steer us through this period to ensure we are around long term, we try & do things on the cheap at this point in time & we are chasing our tails & potentially playing with our survival.

Interesting article "Bundy Shark". The comments underneath speak volumes as to what the the general public perception is. Parachuting in NRL people is a worry. There are plenty of competent people out there. As for "tips" I have no intention of telling you who I have spoken to. As for your question about the sponsorship person being in a precarious position, well as we are the only club without a major sponsor, and we have no stadium sponsor, I would say that the practical reality is that sponsorship person is not his role. I read the article today about new sponsors which is great news. However, let us look at the detail. Are these sponsors being brought in at the rate we knocked Tynan back?

I find it frustrating that there is no transparency on these type of things. About time we had some.

Tips - Cullen is restructuring the club. do you have a source for suggesting that the board brought him in to do this?

Cobb, you have no effen idea mate. Take fitz up on his offer to speak with relevant people and you will have egg on your face buddy.

Probably why you won't i guess..

Especially about your sponsorship comments.

Good luck if you are elected mate - your comments have basically already made that position untenable already.

Just spent a lot of time reading the above website.

Simple, clean and all the information you need to make an informed decision.

It will be very hard to argue against their record and attributes.

This is Bruno's real reason for being here. He wants the Sharks to relocate to Brisbane and play basketball

"Former Brisbane Broncos chief executive Bruno Cullen has joined a high powered group pushing to get the Brisbane Bullets back in the NBL.

Cullen will be chairman of the Bullets Bid Committee (BBC) -- a partnership formed last month between Basketball Queensland, Basketball Australia and a private equity investor, Brisbane Bullets Queensland Pty Ltd, hoping to have a team contesting next season's championship"

Secret? Flyers went out to a number of local business people and sharks members to attend.
