Yeah the more I think about it, the more you realise how difficult it is.
Just finding that right group of supporters who are loud and passionate but don’t go over the line, who have the time/commitment to go to most games but are a good mix socially and no conflicts. And balancing the organic vs official approach.
Plenty of excellent CSSC leaders have tried to work it out and keep things going, with various levels of club support, and clearly not easy.
Also the fact that the good seats are now basically all sold out each year, so where do you find a bay anyway.
So I don’t know the answer. The club meets various good young charismatic people in various clubs via the Sharks have Heart program, and maybe some of them could be brought on board to start something. Or get Andrew Fifita in there at home games.
The Chook Pen manage it. I have a couple of mates in there and they have a great time at their home games and made good friends. And somehow keep it going year after year. I think the drum is a big component, just a simple easy chant - Easts
