Happy to have Fitz, still think it could have been a touch better handled though.

Poor Bomber also never got the chance to run a full salary cap and many of the players who look good atm (BHU Rudy Takakai) all came in under his watch, or juniors he brought through.
Obviously Finucane and Hynes were massive gets but we’d already got McInnes since cap opened up and Mooney back with no locked in coach so could have had same or other good recruitments.

End of the day it’s done and so far so good for outcome

No way we're getting $50m.

They don't give $50m to a privately owned ground with one tenant, and they definitely don't give $50m to a privately owned ground with one tenant built into a privately owned shopping precinct.

Yep my thoughts as well.

Great if it happens but I just don't see it.

Why not? They had something like 800m for stadium upgrades.

Fact it’s one tenant is completely irrelevant.

Everyone keeps saying it could have been handled better . So could you explain to me how replacing a coach could have been handled better?

Yeah hard to believe the $50million, but they were looking to give $200 million for Jubilee, so who knows...

Good to see Dino and Sharks director Dave Nicholson walking around the ground during Jersey Flegg, checking out the operations and willing to have a chat to anyone.

Who’s playing out of the Panthers stadium besides the Panthers?
Fair call, I forget about them getting an upgrade.

I'd love to see it happen but I just don't see it.

Our low crowd figures probably won't help. Penrith are getting quite a few sellouts which is obviously helped by them beiung successful at the moment. Even in 2016 though our crowd numbers weren't overly great.

They’re getting a whole new stadium so us getting a measley 50m doesn’t seem that far fetched.

Ok. Dino and the board can keep their jobs - for now. Though one more second half like that and we will be having words.

Good ole Peter Fitzsimons eh? Haven't heard from him lately.
Arrogant so and so, and to not hear from him is an excellent day!

It beats me why people read him, can't stand the flog.

He was going very hard at the NRL two years ago when coming back from the first Covid lockdown. He almost becomes obssessed.

There could be some covenants on the coin.
Maybe the stadium will need to be mage available over summer.
I still think if we could have an A league team playing from Shark Park over summer would help overall.

This would help massively in getting the stadium funding:

Cronulla have become the latest club to confirm their intent to take part in the expanded NRLW competition in 2023, with Sharks executives joining their women's players in hand-delivering the club's application to NRL Chief Executive Andrew Abdo on Friday.

On the final day for submissions to be entered, over 20 of the club's women's players and club officials, along with CEO Dino Mezzatesta, exited the Cronulla team bus at Rugby League Central with their formal application in hand — confirming their desire for a license to enter the NRL's elite women's competition in 2023.

That would be great, I'd take more of an interest in it if we had a team.
