Cans would make a massive difference to speed. I get why you can't serve cans at say European soccer games but is it really an issue doing it at Shark Park? Surely not.
It's just NSW as a whole really. Shire laws are harsher than most districts though. We like to make things worse for everyone in an effort to reduce problem behaviour, instead of just punishing those that behave poorly. Nightlife/alcohol culture here sucks.

Of course. For a nation of pissheads not enough hold their booze well & **** it up for the rest of us
Yep. I think a fair compromise is keep the limit at two per person but serve cans. That with tap and go payment should really speed it up.

I hate the two drinks still, personally. Let people buy what they want, and if they act like a tosser ban them for life/charge them if it's bad enough.

If I can go to the bar at a pub and buy a round of 10 beers, why can't I at the footy? If you could do that, you wouldn't need so many people lining up.

I don't think long beer lines is what causes a quiet crowd.

It's the overall fan culture that has contributed to quiet behaviour over the years and this can only be fixed by the fans themselves.

The club can help by encouraging fan groups (like the CSSC) etc. They could offer group memberships and position them in key pockets on the ground to rev up the crowd. Offer them discounts, social media exposure etc.

I am normally pretty quiet but if half the crowd got up around me I would join in.

Yeh it's the local police' risk assessment which limits qty of alcohol that can be served (including shutting down at half time). I'm sure the club would love to be selling more.

I remember back in the day of still buying drinks 20 mins after the game was finished!
