I think this is the final answer to the question of if his systems and team management are working.

On the one hand I love the faith he shows in the team and the loyalty to players is something we havent seen via his signings, but these players we invest in must be the right ones. I dont know about this yet.

And personally, im not 100% sold on Nicho's long term contract.

But all the same, these players need to respond to this with loyalty and commitment that looks like playing for the coach.

When such a vast number of players are out of form and lacking commitment then its clear this isnt happening.

I hope he gets them up and they stick to his plan with commitment, win or lose, and then we can see if his game plan and team management truly needs adjusting.

I’ve said this many times he is ruining Hynes by doing what he’s doing with him

Let alone having a number of his players obviously not putting in 100% for him on the field

His re-signings

His defensive systems

His bench rotation

Etc

Hard to argue with any of this. I still find myself backing Fitz to succeed mainly because he seems like a top bloke and such a good representative for the club. Hoping it’s not blind faith and that he has another level to take us because we aren’t anywhere near a premiership winning side.

We will win tomorrow so the same team will keep getting picked until the next ugly loss and the cycle continues. it’s a vicious circle at the moment preventing real change and addressing problems.

And all the spastics will beat their chests saying how we're in with a chance of winning a comp - until we come up against a top 8 team again

Last week was ugly. We would need to create history if we were to win this year. Records are meant to be broken, it's a matter of when. Dolphins did it a few weeks ago in breaking record for biggest comeback win. We have a good coach and a decent roster. You don't win premierships in June therefore there is still time for the team to regain their confidence starting this week. We have an easy draw leading into semis, 8 winnable games vs teams currently below us and 2 tough back to back away games against top 4 contenders (Panthers & Souths). We need to win 1 if not both to considered serious threat.

And what changes do we make though?

Fitz has the best part of the squad signed long term, can't see there being much wiggle room to sign new players

Do we promote from nsw cup? Can't see anyone coming in to fix this crap, if you're anwser is tricky johns for moylan then you're wrong

Against a top team since fitz took over have we ever had a decent competition rate?

To me we are our own worse enemy, we have poor discipline and completion rate

Against the broncos I actually think we created enough chances to win that game, last year against the panthers we were up 10-0 then turn into a pile of crap

The way I see it is we struggle to go toe to toe with the top teams because we can't complete and have poor discipline/poor defensive reads

Can't give the top teams the amount of ball we give them in our end and not defend our line and leak points at ease like we do and expect to be competitive

I think the real problem is our team is supported by a bunch of spastics.... apparently.

As a supporter, I never give up until we have no chance of making top 8. Once in the 8 it is a new ball game as now playing for keeps needing to win to progress. Some years, teams stand out, other years it is a close competition, this being one as evidenced by the closeness of the table. Apart from last week, we had chances to win the games we lost and been competitive. I have seen fallibility in all top teams to know that anyone of them is capable of winning or losing to another. Different day, different game, different bounce of the ball, different line ups and different referees.

I haven't written off this year yet as we have a good coach and decent roster.

So by fixing this issue is by keeping the regular offenders in the team? Dude they have had what 15 rounds to get their **** together, but yet it's the same people dropping balls, missing tackles etc.

Nothing changes.

I find it amazing that people get staunch about the possibility of Trindall having a chance. Yeah maybe Trindall might not be any better but why can't he been given a go? It's this immediate shut down as soon as it's even mentioned if swapping Moylan out.

But hey some people just don't like change and are happy with just being ok.

Mate some people on here just like to argue and type to make themselves look like they have a clue

I wish this team had 15 rounds, They have actually had a whole season and a half to get their sh*t together - But yes let’s give them another season and a half of absolutely no improvement lol

Moylan let’s Hynes play his game apparently, Graham is a calming influence and Finucane is our captain ! You’re crazy for even suggesting we blood some new talent

This year has been a big disappointment so far. I was expecting intense, wall-like defence. At he very least I as expecting that we get rid of the small mistakes that no other team seems to make as much as we do. Yet, it is more of the same,

I am not sure why we seem like we are not focusing on defence as offence wins games, defence wins championships.

Don’t forget to include yourself in the first paragraph. :)

I think we’re missing a defensive leader. We have guys like McInnes who defend incredibly well, but he’s not a leader. I think Dale is supposed to be that guy, but he isn’t working out. Ramien is very good too, but not a leader. We need a prop, hooker or half who just leads by example in defense. One of those guys who just turns up every single time. Someone who the team can follow.

Because the old saying is still true. Defense is a mindset.
