Well no one is in the next season or two regardless. Penrith have this league on lockdown for a bit longer and there’s not really anyone can do about it in the short term, except maybe Brisbane. Doesn’t mean we should resort to finding ways to cheat, I know you haven’t directly suggested that but that’s not what your implying is it?
Penrith were less dominant this year then they were last year. Reckon they'll come back to the pack some more next year.

Fact Nathan was best spine player on the park and then next 3 could argue were all Broncos unfortunately suggests that is right, as they should be able to keep putting competent players around him, especially with their junior depth.

When you take away Crichton's guaranteed try they'd only be 1 from 4 so next year odds are they lose

Yeah people said that last year, and the year before……
When it counts though they have all the pieces still in place to beat everybody.
Not saying they won't be back at the pointy end, just that the gap will narrow again... might get knocked out in a prelim next year!

No we can’t. Not with this squad. We’re so far off it’s not even funny. Really confused how some of you don’t see it.
Agreed

Fitz is a media darling and we’re rubbish

Would take Flanno and us being hated over that anyday

Would you put Ivan Cleary in one of the greatest coaches category then? I mean a three-peat is pretty impressive and it can even be a four-peat.

Ivan's role in all of this success cannot be ignored.

Considering he’s had different assistant coaches throughout the 3 years says to me he is the main man.

He’s leaped Robinson for mine and if he keeps going he is very close to catching Bellamy and Bennett.

There are a variety of other factors that flow into this.

Signing non-clean skins can have an impact on sponsorship and more importantly team cohesion. If the team doesn't like each other and it affects how they can work together, they aren't winning ****.

You say this like there's a long list of '****ing animals' out there that Fitz is avoiding? Can you list any not named Matt Lodge?

Watch everyone who wants mongrel enforcer props have a sad when they bleed penalties and get suspended too
What someone like JWH brings looks great, when it's never your team he's being suspended from

Says the guy who lives in the rumour mill and demands we sign every below average Tom, Dick and Harry who‘s name comes up from his idol Danny Weidler. 😂😉😂 Don’t talk to me about writing **** with some of the downright dumb **** that comes off your keyboard 😂.

LOL nah, only having fun, your fine. 😂

Anyway, back on topic. I’m all for signing an enforcer forward (although we have no cap space at the moment). But they’re not exactly dropping off trees at the moment. They’re hard to find for the right price.

Penrith do ok without an enforcer forward... Moses Leota helped turn the game on Sunday and we've got blokes bigger then him.

Could say that Ivan is currently the best club coach in the game but has some ways to go to get towards Bennetts career on the whole.

Bennett has more than double the amount of premierships, including at more than 1 club and has had a stack of success at the rep levels of coaching.

Bellamy has delivered success consistenly at his club over multiple decades. Robinson hasn't had many bad seasons either.

Prior to coming back to the Panthers Ivan hadn't achieved much as a head coach outside of getting Warriors to a GF which is a remarkable achievement and all but outside of that his win % was sub 50%

No doubt he has gone on a golden run the last 3-4 years and done something special

Under Bellamy and Bennet we've consistently seen players go from duds to studs. I don't think I could say the same for any other coach.

If you ask most panthers fans they’ll tell you Ivan turned nobodies like Sorensen and Capewell into good players

So don’t ask them

That coaching/recruiting team is doing the best job of managing the cap and playing to the modern game. Cleary, as head coach has to take the credit for their success.

The game plan is pretty much perfect. Wear teams down early and either crush them or run them down. Funnily enough that under drop off ball is critical to the gameplan. They're relentless with it and I'd say, without a skerrick of evidence to support it, use it to move opposition forwards around more than any other team.
Cleary's late try (which we've seen in a majority of their games) was down to knowing the defensive line was shot and the forwards wouldn't make it across. It was almost muscle memory.

They've cracked the code, and Ivan will without doubt go into that elite echelon of coaches as a result.
