Our left (including Tracey) looked rough, clunky and rusty. Hense why many on this forum said Fitz should have made this move 4 weeks ago. Could have used that time against the weaker teams to iron out the creases.
Yes, a bit of talk in here about new combinations need time to bed in & sharks looked clunky on Sunday. I agree new combination wiould have been clunky 3 & 4 starts ago. Would you give up the 4 points we bagged 4 & 3 starts ago, to possibly (& I mean possibly) have new combinations settled now?

A conundrum.

Sifa did the same the week before. Which leads me to think that its a strategy. Run up - get stepped - try. Well practiced it seems.

100% he delayed the inevitable and brought in changes against good teams late in the season

Four weeks ago would’ve been perfect because we were versing low teams and by Manly should’ve been sweet

But nah not Fitzgibbon

I also saw cam and brailey defending on that side at times as well.

I think unfortunately Wade is the answer. The only answer we have to defend that edge with experience.

Or watch those combos beat the easy opps then get even more shocked when they fall at the first hurdle

My point was Fitz bagged 4 crucial points by “picking & sticking” until we played the 11th placed Manly f*(&^% Sea Eagles who toweled the new combination.

Who‘s to say if we played like we did against Manly against the Bulldogs or Dragons they would not have pinched a win against a clunky new Sharks combination?

To have dropped both games we are on 22 points we are in 13th place, if we had dropped one game we are on 24 points (8th or 9th) - no thanks.

We dropped a game last weekend against a bottom 8 side that we had beaten 3 times straight - awful result.

this is until you realise that connor will be up against stephen crichton
Good fit tactically, he will miss his intercepts when Connor throws the pass behind him instead of backwards to our player
