Sharks didn't make a line break after the 45th minute. A reasonable description of what went down in that game would be something like "Nicho had some great moments in the first half, but had some very poor fifth tackle options/execution in the second half which cost the team. He and his fellow spine members couldn't make anything happen at the back end of the game even though his forwards and back 5 were able to give the team plenty of possession and field position. Very mixed bag from the whole spine, Nicho included".

Instead what we get is "Brailey sucks, Moylan sucks, Talakai sucks, the forwards all suck, and here are some fantasy stats which show Nicho was good".

I don’t disagree, I’m retorting against the line of thinking that he was poor, which he was not.

If the passes stick in that game and Ronaldo catches a bomb we win and everyone has a different take on his performance. Strange how it’s different when he’s not the one dropping the passes or not catching the bombs.

... and the same could be said for each of the guys who are being bagged by Dan in that article.

E.g. In that game Brailey made 50 tackles and ran 6 times from dummy half (which is what most people whinge about). He didn't drop any passes, throw any **** passes, get steamrolled for a soft try against, or bomb any tries... but apparently he is ready for the scrap heap because he can't come up with the right play in the attacking end.

Probably should get back to discussing Connor Tracey though...

Was still guilty of trying to do too much imo.

Guilt implies that he's broken a law... I think Nicho is the law.
Fitz reminds me of Hedy Lamar (that's Headly coach!). He's appointed Hynes as the Sherriff (the Sherrif is a Nicho!) and Moylan is the Waco Kid before he got sober. The Sherrif has won everyone over... but Rockridge is still turning into ****.

what decencies do people think he has ?

He was one of the few players for us that was undroppable this year but then he got dropped after one bad game in defence

I hope he’s back in the team next week, we definitely need him especially if that new edge of tricky and JC stay the same
