Just what our young squad needs. Let's hope that's the standard for the rest of the season, solid and reliable.

His career success rate as a goalkicker is 76% which is decent, so he has that string to his bow as well. Unfortunately, it's a long time since he's been a regular kicker, and I don't know whether he works on it very much any more.

Him and Morris both confirmed that the kick try was something he and Chad had been working on, not a bad turn around from a week of working on it

So much positivity in this thread, so much promise and appreciation - a feel good coming home story

...anyone else got a bad feeling this poor bloke gunna have shreds torn off him by the forum later in the season?

I hope it doesn't come to that or play out that way but he probably 2 mistakes away from being disowned and a can't believe we let Josh Morris go and signed Bryson Go....

as fickle as a moylan hamstring this place haha

Only one handling error from tsunami of vile hatred being unleashed on him.

This guy clearly loves the club & is keen to be back, I don't think he made 1 error last night & was it him or Katoa that did that nice pick up when the Dogs kicked a good grubber across the ground? I loved how he was also the 1st one up when Wakeham did that cheapshot on Dugan haha!

I’ve got to say... apart from him and Moylan letting that ball drop yesterday - his 2 games with us have surprised me. He is solid - wasn’t easy to score that try yesterday.

Impressive so far

I’m not surprised at all, like I said when we signed him, you know what you get with him each week. He is solid, you can rely on him.

He's no Josh Morris but he's probably the next best cheap old stager.

The way he finished that try on the left wing was seriously impressive, when he caught that pass I gave him next to no chance of making it past a couple defenders into the corner but some nice footwork and strength and he plants it comfortably within the sideline

spilled a catch off a tricky bomb that was let to bounce in first half with the error leading to a try against us in the next set and might have done better to try tackle Funa on the wing instead of the attempted push but other than these little hick ups no complaints

His runs out of our own end have been surprisingly strong and seems to love being here and back in our jersey. has a massive smile when he scores points
Like him

Given Ronnie is out for a few weeks bringing Goodwin in has been perfect

I think Ronnie comes in for Goodwin first.

Nene bides his time and Goodwin covers for injuries.

I’d be happy with either Nene or Ronny coming in, but I think Ronny gets the spot, because I think he was playing well before his injury, and I think Bomber will reward him for that

My pecking order

1. Katoa (he has earned it)
2. Ronny
3. Nene
4. Bryson

Hard on Bryson who has been solid and dependable but he will get more games I’m sure when injuries come in. Whoever starts needs to perform well otherwise we have very capable replacements ready to come in. Great problem to have!
