It’s not even just tackle efficiency, if there were a stat for bad reads he would be leading the comp

Mate I don't know what you've been watching. He was atrocious last weekend. Embarrassing actually.
That game was irrelevant, and he wasn’t Robinson Crusoe. Since he was dropped for the panthers game his defence has been good.

I reckon he’ll play well on the weekend. There, I said it.

That’s a good point and something that has been getting on my nerves for a long time now, Nikora and even wade to an extent don’t take the early runs out of our own half. ****s me to no end.

They leave it to our wingers and even Tracey I have seen do it recently.

It’s not acceptable.

Talakai will run 12 meters on tackle 2 and then hit the hole 95% as good as Nikora on tackle 4

Absolutely. Can't rack up a missed/ineffective tackle if you're chasing shadows 10m from where you should be.

Article in the paper about how he agreed with being dropped when he sat out that month and was expecting it sooner.

Mentions battling second year syndrome demons and how he's struggled a bit his second year.

Pretty grounded comments. Let's hope he fires up this week.

he's good when he is aggressive - being passive doesn't suit his game

I think Fifita and Rudolph are literally the only aggressive cnts we have in our team

Talakai broke a man and then laughed at him as he kept running...

Ronnie will end up causing a scuffle most games

Being aggressive is over rated, I’d rather a hit and stick sort of guy, running out of the line trying to be aggressive is pointless when you miss. I swear the gaps in our defensive it looks like we are defending with two less in the line. I so miss our old defensive system, soon as a team gets a restart in our half you know they are going to just about score or get a repeat set.

Wouldn't mind someone like a Prior in his prime.

I think it’s about balance. Sometimes you just shut the play down, and other times you try to dominate. E.g. Wade was a shocking try line defender in the early days of playing back row (was way too aggressive) but got a lot better over time at picking his moments.

I’m very hard on Nikora ... but I don’t think he doesn’t belong in the squad. I just think he should have had more NSW Cup time prior to becoming an NRL regular (and still does).

Suffered with second year syndrome.

Needs to have a massive off season.

Chuck on 4-5kgs imo, work on his defence and line running. And fitness.
