He really has become Coen Hess 2.0

- Cup form didn’t justify him coming in ahead of others
- Hyped after scoring some nice tries in his first handful of games
- Picked for rep duty when what he actually needed was to be sent down to Cup for another year (at least)
- Has become such an obvious defensive liability that opposition teams are targeting him
- Based on the last 12 months he doesn’t belong in the NRL, but the team signed him long term for good money based on those first few games ... so they persist

I'll admit I was one of the guys saying sign him long term. He started so well last year. Wtf happened to him!

Needs a massive off season and needs someone pressuring him for the 11 jersey.

Well with Talakai and Wilton getting game time this year he's got some pressure now. Whether that's enough I'm not sure.

Good to see Nikora has been punished by being named in the starting team for a final.

I don't think we care about defence.

A bunch of us gave him Player of the Year votes for last week!
Obviously did enough good stuff to save his skin but I thought he was dreadful enough for most of the game to consider him one of our worst few players for the game still.

Easy enough to find in the 3-2-1 thread, I guess I should probably vote but it's hard after that game.
No votes for Nikora from me though.

Surely Talakai starts ahead of him

I'd love to see that but then you just have him being useless on the bench instead, admittedly that is better but may as well drop him completely and give Trindall or Wilton a jersey

2nd year syndrome has hit him hard. I hold out hope that he can work his way through it.

Hit him hard and early, midway through his first year!

Needs 5kg or so of muscles across his frame and to learn how to tackle! A bit more workrate for the hard runs early in sets wouldn't go astray from him either.

At the moment he wouldn't get a start at any other top 8 team, quite possibly no other team at all

That’s a good point and something that has been getting on my nerves for a long time now, Nikora and even wade to an extent don’t take the early runs out of our own half. ****s me to no end.

They leave it to our wingers and even Tracey I have seen do it recently.

It’s not acceptable.

Other than the knights game, his defense has been pretty good in the last few rounds. He didn’t miss a tackle in the chooks game.
His tackle efficiency is 89 percent. He’s definitely have second year syndrome and Morris did drop him earlier in the year, but I’m not sure he’s a write off just yet.

Mate I don't know what you've been watching. He was atrocious last weekend. Embarrassing actually.
