I think this may be the end of Trindall in Sharks colours, at least for 2024.

Caught driving under the influence of alcohol AND cocaine, while ALSO on a suspended license.

No chance he’s even allowed around the club before his court date in May, from there I suspect we’ll give him a 12 game ban at least if he’s found guilty. By that point we’ll be into September by the time he’s eligible and if we’re in finals he ain’t jumping straight back in.

Feel like a disappointment parent, so mad that he’d do something so bloody stupid. I’ve got no time or sympathy for ********s that drive drunk, but I will say that I hope this is the wake up call for Trindall to sort himself out.

Sorry mate I can't agree. I don't care if people think drugs aren't taboo, they destroy families and lives.
You're completely entitled to your opinion, as is sharkstragic. I'm stating that for a large percentage of the population these days it's a non-issue, so to call his perspective out as flat out wrong is a bit misguided.

OK the fact he has charged has been confirmed, but I ask you to PLEASE still be careful with what you say.

Let's stick to the football ramifications of it, and avoid assuming guilt on any aspects of it.
FFS Tricky 🤦🏻‍♂️what are you doing brother.

That still isnt good enough.

Disappointing sure but need to be realistic, especially with young blokes & footy players - doesn't mean our club is in crisis or has fundamental flaws or Tricky should be banished. There are genuine dirt bags in the game that have come back from worse incidents. Tricky seems a good guy who made a blue, we all stuff things up at some point.

We are outraged cause we are fans of the club/sport or take offense to his actions but it's something literally hundreds of kids will be doing this weekend. It's kinda just how humans and society are - having rules in place doesn't really change that.

There is a system in the NRL where if it’s the first time caught with cocaine it’s just a warning..

Let’s hope it’s his first time so it’s not as bad in terms of time out the game, the DUI with a suspended license is stupid but shouldn’t rub him out for more then a month tbh

If you don't think coke is common these days you mustn't get out much.

This is from a couple of years ago now but you get the idea: https://www.news.com.au/national/au...d/news-story/c91869d4e2b2adeef266917d82f705e0

All that being said – he's a ******** for drinking (or more) and getting behind the wheel. You'd imagine he'd have had plenty of education around it, and with so much to lose...

Hope he learns from it and comes back well. Also hope it doesn't torpedo our season.

It’s illegal and he is a representative of the club.

It’s a bad look and not in keeping with Cronulla’s new clean and professional image.

For mine first strike no good, second strike and goneskiis.

spewing I really rate Braydon and absolutely expect more.

I think this is more if it was picked up by in house testing. I don't think a first time chance will fly for failing a police test whilst driving.

Sorry mate, I hate drugs of any kind and I have seen what it has done to friends and family. Yes, it is my opinion and I'll stick to it.
Well its true, although where do I say I condone it? I was referring the mention of ASADA... its hardly perfomance enhancing.
.
OK mate, maybe you didn't actually say you condoned it but I thought that seemed the implication. Apologies if it wasn't. I didn't see where ASADA was mentioned.

Unfortunately the cops caught him, not the NRL testers.
Therefore, bringing the game into disrepute is another angle the NRL will take.

****in stupid mistake by the kid!

I think you’re a bit over the top on what might be the fall out here.

The dui and no license has a precedent off not being much of a punishment. Typically a few weeks.

The cocaine bit I’m not up to date on the latest and if his first offence etc.

If we sack him he’ll just go to the Titans or Dogs for more money. Sharks lose there.

I think most NRL clubs would take a 24-36 month period of no off field dramas or scandals - we have done quite well really keeping it together this long
He should have shown more self control. Even Toby gave up drinking... for two weeks

That’s the NRL system, we’ve seemed to be stricter in these areas than the NRL.

Also, it’s not just cocaine, it’s also drink driving without a licence. His hit the DUI trifecta…
