All good. Not trying to be over critical.
He had a good game overall.
As did Will
True but instead of taking away some field position or giving ourselves a contestable kick we just handed it overNot sure I'd call it turning it over, we we weren't assured of getting it back.
Was it what he meant to do?I think it's a bit harsh to be calling the muffed dropout an error. That new rule lets the kickers off the hook. At worst it cost them an opportunity to win possession and let the Rabbitohs start on tackle 0 instead of tackle 1.
Or 4: something happens to cause another error or penalty. Then a captainās challenge and 3 minutes of the players standing around looking at the big screen before deciding that the ref got it right in the first place and we do one of those other three things. There is literally no penalty for not kicking the 10 anymore on a dropout. You kick it short theres 3 outcomes: you get it back, they get it or they get a tap restart, unless you get it you're defending about 10m out. Its not the error it used to be.
I put it in the same category as when he dropped it on the last tackle against the Warriors after showing and going. It didnāt measurably change the outcome or cost the team possession or field position so it doesnāt belong in an error column but it still contributes to my opinion of his overall game. Was it what he meant to do?
Iād say no, it was error.
Did it have the outcome we intended from it?
Iād say no, it was an error.
Was it substantially worse than other possible outcomes?
Iād say no to that to, but doesnāt make me think it wasnāt an error
So must beā¦ā¦Sam on Sharkcast said it was an error.
100%What a game he had today. He played so good.
that is what you needHe's not what I would call a slick, subtle or flashy player but boy does he have a red hot crack and put in the work. With the rest of the spine starting to weave some magic sometimes that's just what we need from him and it compliments things well.
Loves backing up for a try doesn't he
The ātackling the player without the ball on our try line and NOT being penalisedā¦..āNow I know I talk this kid up but I just have to say..even though we know his attack/creativeness is good his defence this year has been incredible.
The try savers, the one on ones, the clean ups from kicks, the edge defence.
well done
He got him a good oneThe ātackling the player without the ball on our try line and NOT being penalisedā¦..ā
