He's gonna have a quality coach next year. Hannay is not the man to bring it out of him.

A few pretty limiting issues in his game at the moment, but he does a lot of what you want. Just get that grubber near the line out of his game and improve his pass selection and he could be anything. Still a far more natural looking runner, imho, and a lot of fun to watch when he does.

Also scored me a tonne in supercoach. Good kid.

I actually like his grubber near the line….He just needs to get better at it and force the repeat set.
Think his long kicking game needs lots of work. Lacks direction and effect. Kinda kicks like my 7 year old where he holds the the ball way out it front and drops it on his foot from a height.

Dont mind it on occasion when he get the spiral bomb effect, but would like to see him be able to kick deep in to a corner with accuracy.

I think it was the first time a Sharks half actually kicked a long punt and it hit the grass.

Thought he had one or two good long kicks tonight. One that unfortunately went dead but another that he looked up, saw turbo flying right so he adjusted and found space inside him.

Mind you hes played 17 first grade matches
9 or 10 of which were off the bench for 10-15 minutes.

He's creating chances, kicking goals well, forcing errors and had a great game tonight. He's not as good as SJ yet but he's improving and I'm stoked to see it

Happy with the effort considering his halves partner was literally the female member of The Fantastic 4.

Seemed passionate about losing. Says a lot about a persons character.
If I’m to compare, Chad and/or Shaun wouldn’t have outwardly shown disdain in relation to poor performances.

How good is he... like you said doing it all on his own as well, Tracey shouldn’t be in the halves again not sure where he even fits in the team, felt like wing was where he added most value to the team. Ronaldo doesn’t deserve an automatic lock on that spot.

Shout out the boys who recognised Trindalls potential early on

I know you shouldn’t take notice of Facebook but there was hardly any mention of Trindall last night and when there was the comments said he made too many mistakes and he had a poor game!

What game were they watching?

Probably the same one as Puma.

Obviously people who don't know much.

He had a very good game considering he's young and only played a handful of games and his 5/8 was non-existent. Was playing a lone hand last night.

Yeah that little grubber didn't come off and the forward pass to Talakai.....but the vision is there which is awesome, he just needs to fine tune a few things which isn't unusual for a half so young.

Don't understand people saying his kicking game was rubbish either, far from it. That spiral bomb he put up on the line was erection material.

Some nice long kicks, one unfortunately went too far but was a huge kick.

His scramble defence was amazing at times.

Experience and more fitness and he's going to be a very good halfback imo.

The kid knew he had to stand up in this game, wasn't perfect but you can see he is trying to grab the opportunity. Needs a good coach to help fine-tune him, he will get that definitely from Fitzy.

The facebook page is full of the dumbest most brain dead fans we have. Seriously there’s some real head cases over there. Mostly Billy Magoulis fans.

I noticed that too, the few comments I came across about Trindall were all saying how useless he is. Lucky I was sitting down because I couldn’t believe it.

Come up with some good tackles when needed, come up with some great kicks, Scored 2 and I think his structure really complemented how Kennedy likes to play and helped Kennedy find space for his attack again (best game in weeks).

Made a few slip ups when trying to hard but take him out of that game and we sucked more

While I agree mostly, I think most of his kicks out of our end were straight down Turbo's throat. I know it is probably better positioning from Turbo then bad kicking from Trindall but I can see where people would say he had a bad kicking game last night. That would have been my main criticism of last night.

Hard for a rookie half with a fairly slow kicking mechanism at times to kick for distance but also so that one of the top fullbacks can’t get to it.

Did cook a couple of his short kicks, including one that went nowhere near anyone on like 1st or 2nd tackle, those are more of an issue for me

Also not sure about consistently but there were a couple of long kicks nobody touched him and he stood and watched kick for a second or two instead of getting up to defend it
