Seemed we changed our game plan in the second half to make sure he didn’t touch the ball.
The show and go just needs to stop, Raiders expected him to do that more than pass

Any decent up and coming half should be eyes us off

Only two halves in the squad and one has dodgy legs. Seems like a great destination to play some NRL.

Great opportunity for someone like a Metcalf type
My son would leave the Crusaders rugby academy in a heart beat to join the Sharks

I thought we steered towards Nicho most of the time too mate. I get why, but I'd hoped pre-game that Fitz would try and let Trindall play his game and see what he was like as a true starting 7. We didn't though. Not sure if it would have made any difference but would have been interesting to see

Yeah, that is what I am basing my critique on. He was solid id D, but felt like he looked like his old self in attack.

He came on and did what we needed re the circumstance of the game. I've been critical of late that he's tried the hero play in situations where it wasn't required, me assuming that he wanted to impress the coach.
Tonight he tackled well and played safe with the ball. Exactly what we needed.

He didn’t go for big plays like some other rounds which was better, did not pass inside attacking 10 again
But probably his best bench effort this season

made a cracking low tackle on our line within minutes of coming on the field

tidied up a kick

didn't **** up, decent game but still not stating a signifcant case for him being a 14 . do that a few weeks in a row and I might reconsider

I spose if we can afford to play a bench forward like Fifita for just 18 minutes there is prob a case for a utility or injury backup over another forward

having said that Rudolf was played for 64 mins which is more than usual for him but prob deserves it, looks fitter this year without the fade away he had under Morris/Hannay

He's chunky enough to come off the bench when teams are tiring and be an extra forward. Plenty of skills but not a lot of pace off the mark. As a coach you could find a place for him in the team. All comes down to strategy.

Defence has never been a problem. Probably why Fitz keeps him around.
Played just fine today. A better step forward for him

By my count the only time he touched the ball inside the 10 was when he didn't pass wide and got tackled in front of the posts, when Nicho was setting up for a field goal.

Laid on a peach of a ball that almost put Teig through.

Played a forwards role off the bench today and tackled well. Didn't have to force his hand because he came on when we were well up.

I know he hasn’t been great in terms of positives plays or making a impact this season but I do feel fir him & the role he has been given so far.
No doubt he’s happy to be in the 17 & Fitz must be happy enough with him or him following the role Fitz wants from him but we as thee we’d fans are probably being too tough on him considering Fitz keeps selecting him each week.

That's assuming Fitz knows more about our players, structures, development and fitness levels and injuries than we do!
