I know it’s a different world , but if you heard half the stories about the “hero’s” of the past you’d be surprised at the players that come up when being done for dui and drugs. Not condoning it . Never will. But it’s a fact of life. Humans make mistakes. History proves if we hang them for it it gets worse not better

Is anyone hanging him for this? I feel like people are just expressing their disappointment, which is completely reasonable. It's a big **** up, but no ones calling for him to be sacked or to miss the season. He'll cop his medicine in court and we'll hopefully move on to forget it ever happened because he never ****s up again.

If it were Brailey, would you be so quick to move on?

Personally I don't think it's the end of the world or his career. It's super ****ing dumb though, especially from a bloke that wasn't getting much interest from other clubs before we threw him a bone. You'd think he'd appreciate the shot he's been given a little more... his dumb actions should attract some judgement and he deserves a fair serve of ass kicking.
If it were brailey I would say the same thing.

Dumb mistake, lucky no one was hurt, you live you learn and you move on.

He played so well last Sunday. He would have been on a high (natural) after the game and thought to himself, I want more of this feeling. He should of just called it a night after Toby's.

Michael Gordon for mine, i just couldn't believe it. So without looking to jinx the chunky young 5/8, is the consensus 4 weeks out, in terms of Football?

He did something really dumb, that’s inarguable. However I do believe some of the comments on here are a big much.

24 is not 18, but 24 is also not 34 and 44. 99.99% of 24 year olds are prone to idiotic behaviour. The way you learn in life is by making mistakes and failing.

The true issue of this error is that it could hand gone much worse, and by the grace of all that is mighty it didn’t.

As that worst didn’t occur, we must take it for what happened. He did a really stupid thing, one we probably all agree is regrets immensely, and will wear consequences for that. I also think, as previously mentioned, that we learn from mistakes, this will be a mammoth come to Jesus moment for him and I’ll be surprised if he makes the same mistake again.

Agree but not sure anyone has said anything over the top.

Pretty much everyone has agreed “dumb/stupid/regrettable” etc etc but he will
Learn, cop a few weeks and back into it.

Or have I missed something?

TBF, the fact it was 945am, and not on the way home, from being out at 1-4am,, is a big mitigating factor imho.
He probably wanted to fly under the radar at training and hope no one realised his condition. Turning up in an uber would have been unusual and would probably have drawn some attention.
Not saying that makes it any more excusable but just trying to work out his rationale at the time.
