If we have a couple of injuries to the halves, is this bloke ready to step up to nrl?

Or still a couple years off?

I’d say he’s fourth in line behind the two starters and Connor Tracey. But he’s been playing a bit of 9 as well so don’t be surprised if he ends up on the bench at some stage next year.

So he's about to play in a GF right? Will be interesting to see how he goes.
In some ways Flanno jnr leaving will provide him with BIG game experience against men in his rightful positionposition .
Could be a BLESSING

Yeah could end up being good timing if he proves out. Would be hitting his straps when Chad and SJ are getting to retirement age.

Plus , hasnt Flanno Jnr gone missing in Big games at the higher levels ?
Can continue that trend at the Roosters instead of gleaning more Big game experience with us

Well he went missing in the finals in the year the NYC team was the most dominant team ever.

And he went missing in the Jets GF too. Granted that wasn't necessarily why we lost it imo.

Thanks Bort. Tried searching this thread and didn’t come up!

I thought there must have been one somewhere, it was back on page 4 though

Williams interview on Shark site sounds like he expects both Tracey and Trindall to be in the 17

Anyone have any intel on Trindell's defence? If Duges is out we'll need all the help we can get.

Tracey's stats don't make for good reading this year, but it's not not we have much to go on to know how he'd go in a full game in the 7.

Made a cruisey 12 tackles (one ineffective) in the Jets v Bears GF, missing 7
But don't worry in the NSW Cup GF he made 14 (one ineffective) for only 9 misses

Looks like his full season was 314 made 117 missed

117 is a typo... right?

... kinda

Looks like his full season was 314 made 117 missed

Thats 2019 + 1 game in 2020
2019 - 298 with 115 missed (12.42 per game, 4.79 per game missed)
2020 - 16 with 2 missed

So the two GFs are an above average bad defence effort by him, and although they were obviously very tough games hopefully it is an area he will be a bit better for now with more NRL training under his belt and now 21 years old.

Lead the NSW Cup in 2019 for missed tackles, 25 worse than the next best player who had 90. Although our boy Talakai had 89 and he's been a beast this season.
Trindall also only had 24 ineffective tackles in 24 games so when he makes the tackle he often does it properly at least...

Guess we pray that Duges is fit to beef up the defence on that left side

Didn't realise his missed tackles were that high.

But I do think he is the most natural match for Johnson, and not much better time to make a debut than in Indigenous Round against the Broncos.

Hope to see him get good minutes, and hope he terrorizes the Broncos with his kicks.
