Similarly, one foul swoop ticks me off. Makes sense weirdly because bird and swoop go together, but otherwise makes no sense at all.

Buggering up common expressions is something ex footy player commentators do a fair bit. “Plenty of other fish out there” I heard said once. And “Go with the punches”, “Straight out of the box”, “calm as a cucumber”, “aiming a long bow” etc

That said, I used to think the saying was “have your cake and eat it” until my lady pointed out it needs “too” at the end otherwise you’re just eating a piece of cake in a perfectly normal way.
Thanks for the support mate.

I also struggle with people writing "should of" when it is actually "should have".

Wouldn't that be one fowl swoop?

Not a saying as such, but knew a guy who thought Christmas decorations were called ballballs
I'll never not think of that when seeing them now. I should of not corrected him.

I do like the idea of plenty of other fish out there, why restrict yourself to the sea when there are lakes, rivers, pet stores and who knows where else!
I'd probably draw the line at fish market. Worrying connotations.
Actually now the ones in captivity are a concern too.. best to just say 'the sea' afterall

I hope he gets the chance to kick more often, his long game is pretty deep and finds the turf quite a bit.

Nicho just needs to let him
One to look out for on your next dozen rewatches @BurgoShark - and going forward if they stay paired up again...

When Nicho kicks long where is Trindall?
Consistently set up on other side of ruck as a genuine kick option? A bit off, looking like he doesn't expect to kick?

Wondering if he regularly positions himself to kick but we don't pass it, or if he doesn't look like he expects to a lot of the time etc

For all intensive purposes, this is a great post.

I'd say it's tactical (coaches decision) rather than something one player is doing or not doing.

Will keep that in mind next time :)

I wonder if Brailey has just been too used to giving the ball to Nicho he just does it automatically. Or perhaps Trindall isn't assertive enough to call for the ball. Either way it's got to stop as Nicho will be worn to a frazzle before long.

Likely, but tactical to the point both regularly set up and Hynes gets it? Or Trindall often doesn't even bother?

If both set up would you judge based on side to side field position Hynes was the better 'positioned' based on how our set played out.

Trying to get a vibe whether game plan is
  • Hynes Kicks, Trindall do whatever unless Hynes tackled on last
  • Someone kick it (but Blayke and Nicho are used to working together on last)
  • Just so happens we play often play ourselves into a position (based on Hynes being very hands on) where kick will come from his side
  • Anything else that shows up

Wondering the same although if Trindall is, or is to be, the grand game manager he is touted as he needs to ensure he finds his voice

Not sure I am going to be able to embed them in a post, but how would something like this work? I've grabbed the video and converted to animated GIF.

Only problem is it takes a while to load. Might be best if I drop them all in an external page and then have it all load at once. Click the link, make a coffee, then view :)

Due to complexity and effort in actually going through them I was prepared to just cop your interpretation haha

I guess one bit of info we will always be missing is where the ‘game manager’ wanted to direct the set and where the kick was supposed to target

All good. I didn't actually see the game on Saturday, so it's not really a re-watch. Plus there are still some plenty I need to learn with my editing software so it's a new skill for me :)

I'm sure there will be other who appreciate it, and it's something different to dropping numbers in Excel will make a nice change.

Yeah - we won't know that. We can all just safely assume that Nicho is a ball hog, Tricky is a shrinking violet and Fitz is an idiot.
