With AFB coming in 2025 does anyone here think we will re sign him?
I think it’ll be hard to
AFB opens up money and need for a prop in NZ you’d think they’d be able to make him a great offer we can’t compete with. Caleb moving out and Braden visiting NZ over Xmas would also support he’d be likely to accept.

If we can hold him and Williams and just lose like Kaufusi or something our forward becomes stacked.

AFB, BHU, Rudolf, Hunt, Hazleton, Williams, Colquhoun (THT, Bradbury)

we have a whole year to decide whos worth holding onto but with BHU given the captaincy in the trials and senior leadership roles, i doubt fitz is pushing him out the door

i dont neccessarily think we have to lose anyone with AFB coming, we were lacking one more grunt in the first place. maybe Hunt if anyone

BHU, Williams, Colquhoun and potentially Kaufusi can negotiate now so we don’t have a whole year unless they decide to wait 12 months before deciding anything.

Even though Finucane is scaling down it’s possible we may need to free up more money than someone like Hunt is on to fit AFB. Maybe not though

yea for sure, if they wanna jump ship without approaching us for an offer then so be it, but what fitz is building is something players want to be apart of, and like mulitalo will take less to stay here.

i cant see a player leaving without the club having a final take it or leave it offer

I’d be happy if Finucane does retire after this season and then keep Uele (saying that if money is a problem).

I have no doubt they will give us a chance to respond to an offer (be mad not to), but that doesn't buy us a year, buys us maybe like a month or two from that point. Maybe much less.

NZ will be motivated to try and lock in one or two NRL starting calibre props fairly early once season starts I'd think.
With a million or more to spend on it.
If they offer BHU an extra 100k or more than we can be nice if he stays but makes sense for him to take it.

I’d be happy if Finucane does retire after this season and then keep Uele (saying that if money is a problem).
With Tracey not on 25 books anymore (and any savings we can dig up for 25 by Moylan leaving now) you'd think the extra from Finucane retiring probably pretty much would allow us to hold the rest of the middles.

AFB, Rudolf, BHU, Hazelton, Hunt, Kaufusi, Colquhoun (THT, Bradbury)
McInnes and Williams at 13

Why would we let him go if he stays fit and smashes it this season , they are all in the same boat . I'm sure they all want to be part of the forwards when AFB gets here , it will just be great for competition amongst the forwards .

He’s off contract at the end of this year.
