When the **** does a starting 17 player come back through Newtown? Never is the answer.

Well so far this year, only Jack Williams.

Last year, Katoa and Talakai - but also the Jets also weren’t an option for 2/3 of the season.

2020 the Jets only one had one game.

2019 and before… lots of players. Ronnie, Bukuya, Katoa, Segy, plenty more.

It happens all the time.

Plenty of other clubs brings guys back via Cup too. Jayden Campbell is one of the higher profile guys this year.

BHU though… a come back via a short bench stint is the most likely situation.

I won’t be surprised if BHU is named on the extended bench this afternoon for Thursday night.

He definitely won’t play but they might name him just to get him back involved in the squad.

I don’t know if that’s too much “out there” thinking but just wouldn’t surprise me.

Other than the 18th man (or move into starting 17) an unnamed player can be just as involved in squad as any reserves

By more involved do you mean mentally ? I’m not sure extended bench players get more involved

I think he means being able to train, sit on sideline during the game etc. but as bort said there is no reason he has to be in the team list to do those things.

I mean by being named he feels his is back part of the team and gives him confidence he’s not far away. Might give a lift to the rest of the team too. I don’t know how it works, I’m just speculating.

i heard he wont be back for another 2-3 weeks, not sure if that meant training or game time

Fitz mentioned in the presser he's back with the full time squad, which sounded like meant training.

Also it's been what 11 weeks since he injured himself. Recovery time is between 10 and 14 weeks so you'd imagine he's training by now. Another 2 to 3 weeks puts him bang on the 14 week timeline.

No point rushing him back, if he does it again he's out for the season.

Made an instant impact. I thought the second one he actually hit our own player but who the hell knows.

Just what we've been missing.
Shouldn't have anything to answer for... The refs must have been told that players only get hurt because of foul play, they were looking for someone to blame every time
