Brailey's fancy stats for 2023.

Scale is the same as the middles, but I set the benchmark at 2/3 of what is good for a running forward. In general his his involvemetn is a little under the second rowers - which is what you'd expect.

Despite the myth perpetuated by parts of the fanbase, Blayke is runs the ball fairly often, and has a lot of positive involvements in attack. A fair chunk of his runs come in the middle part of the field though, so in games where the Sharks spend a lot of time either coming out of their own end or attacking the other team's try line he doesn't run as much.

Also interestingly... the fan base seemed to also have the idea that he started running more later in the season, but 7 of his first 10 games were above his average.

His heaviest involvement was round 26 vs The Knights. The finals game was his lowest.

Regardless which side of the fence you sit on I think we can all agree playing 91 out of a possible 92 NRL games in last four seasons is a pretty significant effort.

Unbelievable for a small fella getting through a lot of work, especially as a target of the big boys in the middle.

If he was an even better player that’d be great but makes our guys lives easier having a consistent and reliable man feeding the ball around.

Unlike his older brother his body isn't made of papier-mâché. It certainly helps.

He is an extremely valuable member of our team. He’s not the greatest hooker but he’s definitely better than a lot in the NRL, his ability to play big minutes & his availability allow us to get great value for money
