Did you watch those games anyway? If your memory goes that far back...Dunno why but I feel like I've aged a bit since that post....

Huge! Well doneAussie Travis Bazzana has become Australia’s first ever No 1 draft in the MLB draft, being selected with the number 1 pick by Cleveland. Honestly this is huge considering how hard it is for Australians to break into the sport over there. Selfishly I was kinda hoping he’d go at number 4 so the A’s would pick him up, they really wanted him too. But history made for Australian baseball.

Anyone watching? Less than a month out from playoffs. Interesting year - a lot of the big teams with indifferent form lately.
I’m an Astros fan - terrible start but seem to have gotten it together lately.
Mate I feel for A’s fans and players - worst ownership in the mlb. The team is certainly having a go.I’m an A’s fan, considering everyone had us nailed on to be worst team in baseball this year, the fact that we are nowhere near that and even still a chance of getting to .500 is a massive achievement.
**** mate sorry to hear that. Hope you have a speedy recovery.First baseball game for me for the new summer season, first at bat, hit a grounder to third, sprint to first to try to beat the throw, then snap, felt the calf go. Not the Achilles thank ****, but going to hospital tomorrow as I still cant put any weight on it.
Should have ****ing retired after the championship last season…..

Biggest new inclusion is this years number 1 draft pick Travis Bazzana. Has made a good start within the Cleveland farm system.
For those wondering, the Premier 12 competition is baseball’s version of the ICC Champions Trophy. The highest ranked 12 nations take part.
After the Melbourne Aces pulled out of the Australian Baseball League (backed by MLB) last month to join the KBO Fall League (Korea), citing inconsolable differences with the league. The Canberra Calvary has today announced they’re withdrawing from the ABL as well, citing the same reason, its unclear if they’ll join the Aces in Korea or go to another league, or finish up entirely.
Regardless, this is looking dire for the ABL and baseball in Australia. You can’t really run a league with the four remaining teams.
EDIT:
Bit of an update, the ABL released a statement saying they will push ahead with a four team league next season featuring Brisbane Bandits, Perth Heat, Adelaide Bite and the mighty Sydney Blue Sox (who’s owners handed back the licence a few months ago, but it appears they will stay in the league under new ownership)
Wow. Any insight into what's going on with the league? After the Melbourne Aces pulled out of the Australian Baseball League (backed by MLB) last month to join the KBO Fall League (Korea), citing inconsolable differences with the league.
