Our pre-season excitement always reminds me of Randy Quaid! "All the way, all the way!"

Red Sox sign Sandoval and Hanley Ramirez! Big power move by their management. I wonder if they'll still chase Lester.

Both Cubs and White Sox to challenge this year? I pity the Chicargo PD if it's a Cubs/White Sox World Series.

Just want to acknowledge Rhys Hoskins being the first ABL alumni to take part in the MLB Home Run Derby. A former Sydney Blue Sox Left Fielder he’s been tearing it up over in the Show with the Phillies sitting on a .252 batting average so far this season along with 14 home runs and 56 RBI’s heading into the All Starts break. Best of luck to him in the derby.

How crazy is the ABL getting a Korean team. Hope it all works out, Asians are sick at baseball

Its fantastic. I heard it’s actually pretty common in the lower grades at least here in Sydney. I remember playing winter ball E grade about 5 years ago and there was a team just called the Eagles. Looking at the draw they never played a home game and had no town attached to their name. The first time we played them we looked over, it’s was an entire team of Koreans. During the game I learned that most of them we’re uni students. They had met and decided to form their own team and they got special permission from the league to play. They weren’t half bad either. They beat us once and we beat them once. The last game got a bit sour after our pitcher beamed one of them in the back throwing him down to third. The guy went down in a heap and the benches cleared.

Generally good blokes though.

That's made me more keen to catch a game next season

Hoskins didn’t let himself down in the home run derby finishing as a semi finalist.
He beat Jesus Aguilar in the first round after Jesus was unable to run down Hoskins 17 HR haul. Jesus finished with 12.
Hoskins improved that in the semi finals racking up 20 HRms but was unfortunately run down by Kyle Schwarber (21 HR’s)

Bryce Harper beat Schwarber in the final.

First ever World Series where neither team won a home game. Incredible series. I’m pretty happy the Nats got up.
