FFS - I'm a Shark through & through - long before a lot of you were even thought of. I've seen real corruption in the system over the years (also at our club btw).
I think this idea is stupid, but in no way do I agree that it's unfair, nor is it a conspiracy...

But his announcement has put the spotlight on him and not the tournament where it should be.
I've heard more about this so called roosters legend coming out of retirement than the game itself.
Leave the Nines game alone Fitler and create your own spotlight. Dinner for one maybe.

If anything it should help us, I would rather see the teams use their actual players though that way the standard of play will be higher.

Not necessarily. There are many Sevens players that will never play for their Country in The 15-man game
A lot more nimble, faster players, lacking strength. Different note, Ratini played 7's for Fiji but to my knowledge is yet to play the 15 man game for Fiji.
The more known players will suggest that it will be publicized more, but we have both seen that it only counts if the players publicizing the game are from the current crop of players, but I'm sure it would be a different story if it were a retired Sharks player...
Good on the Roosters -1st Hollywood Hogan, 2nd SBW and now Fitler. That's some serious marketing.
