Yep. While its done and dusted for the NRL, the AFL has its head so far up its own arse it'll be entering a third season stunk up by this. Still trying to conceal something, in this case the identity of the 20 facing bans, which will come out eventually anyway when they're banned.

So after trying to rule the investigation unlawful due to a legal loophole, now they're threatening to boycott the NAB Challenge if players under suspicion are named. Even though and player given a show cause notice is currently banned from playing.

I agree, I reckon the fact that the sharks players stone walled asada from the start made asada focus more on Essendon and In turn the time that it took to come back around to the sharkies was ultimately used against asada by our lawyers in getting the light deal that was offered.
Either good legal advice from the sharkies lawyers or just plan dumb luck.

I pretty much stopped following it a good six, even ten months ago (can't remember), but I had a look in on the big footy boards the other day to see what on earth was going on, and I got the impression that there is a fixed ruling date on all 34 players (meaning it has been set down). This is indeed due before the start of the season.
Could be crap though! I read it on the internet!

Yeah, I stopped following it when our punishment was handed out. I'm a bit bored of the ins and outs, but I'm interested to see the end result. I now understand the boredom of the general public in relation to this story. People got sick of it pretty quickly when nothing much happened. And now that we aren't sitting in limbo, I fall into that category too.
