That's true but I actually think his playing style suits it. Remember the guy is a centre masquerading as a winger, and the leap from centre to second row isn't huge. Chris McQueen was a winger.

I remember watching on FOX a day of Sharks games (pre-season) and in one of the Semi's against the Dog's I think we had Luke Stuart playing Centre and scored a runaway try. He went to South's and found himself at Prop soon after. In saying that I prefer Feki stay as an outside back.

we have been told to reinstate him (if he is willing) and organize the exit of his contract or he can go to another nrl club but we still have to pay for his exit by the nrl (should he want to come home) seems like a no brainer to me

I would kill to have him back! Shouldn't have been let go in the first place!

Bring it On!

no brainer really hey.

we were trying for over a mil to get DCE....we can have Carney for less. With the departure of other ageing players, Carney opens up a premiership window.

Id love to actually see Holmes, Carney, Barba, Ennis, Bird all run out onto the field together. We'd actually stand a chance.

Do it. Obviously Carney probably cannot come this season, and i will happily see us struggle this year if it means we have a quality half returning

i wonder if the new 'professionalism' of Lyall would offer any pull. Cos other than him being here, and the club giving some free polo shirts to people so they can harass people at the game, not a lot has changed in 12 months.

Seems bull**** our hand was forced to get rid of him and now we are forced to pay for his release.

To me it depends how much its going to cost us, I'd still much prefer Sezer as Carneys hamstrings and off field antics worry me, also not sure how he'd go combining with Barba without a calming influence.

I think Barba would be a good foil for Carney actually.

Carney drew so much attention at 5/8 that he hardly had room to move, they couldn't do that with Barba popping up as well

I think if Carney gets a second chance, he needs to grow as a player.

He has a killer long ball, a great short ball. the 2nd best inside ball in the game as well as a perfect kicking game. He can take the line on and he has a step too. He can be 7. The only thing he has to do is direct some players around. Ennis has the forwards sorted. We are actually making metres in the forwards this year.

There is absolutely no reason Todd cant be a 7 except for his confidence. And to me, that is the biggest worry above all else. Him and Barba are both confidence players.

The biggest concern about carney other then his off field antics is his leg injuries, lost a lot of pace when he was with us, his running game was going downhill

but for anybody they can be managed by proper training, proper stretching and an improved running style. They are an issue as he is prone to them. I know he tore a calf earlier this year, but i dont think he's done a hammy. Didnt he go to the AIS after he hurt it the last time (Penrith game last season) and it was related to something to do with his hip?

Even carney didn have good attacking kicks. His cross field kicks were rarely in the right position

I suggest you see the Tigers game in 2013 at the SFS where he just attacked the Tigers from the air all game. I think we scored 4 tries from his kicks that night. His last game for us he set up 2 tries with kicks, scored one himself and put Gal over with a short ball.

He doesn't need to be that guy anymore.

He has barba and Val around him he just has to use his passing and kicking game
