Pretty sure Carney was on 750,000 no?
No. I thought it was a 5 year 650,000 a year deal

coulda sworn it was 750K, but who really knows - either way you guys make a good point, Maloney or Hodkinson would be worth it - Hodko has the same hammy problem as Carney doesn't he? Or am I getting confused again?
We have a need, the talent is there, we have the money. As I've said before don't care if we pay overs, we're desperate for a decent halfback. Also doubt we see the best of Barba until he has a decent half so it's double the reason to get it done regardless of the cost.
it is not a bad thing that teams no that we have money, it is even better that none of the remaining halves are worth that coin
in order of preference, I go for Maloney on a 2-3 year deal. this gives connor tracey a few more years in the 20's and maybe a year in nsw cup. Maloney is my number 1 choice.
number 2 is hodkinson. he isn't flashy, but his kicking game is on point and his goal kicking is top notch. the only problem then is what happens to young connor.
number 3 is aiden sezer. good kicker, a goal kicker and a genuine play maker, the only problem is, his game is similar to barba's which might be more harm than good.
number 4 is sandow. I would have Sandow a lot higher on the list due to his natural talent, but it is about unlocking his talent consistently and also his off field problems are similar to barba. I actually think a barba/sandow combination would be just about the most entertaining in the competition, but I just don't know if we can have 2 "risks" as our starting halves
wildcard: Matty Smith (wigan warriors) has a huge boot on him and a bit of a running game.
other options: Townsend and Isaac John, but that is bottom of the barrel stuff
You think Hampton would want to join us to get some first grade. But Storm have him for another year I think.
Yeah just did a search and found it. It will be interesting to see how all this plays out with the top halves all coming off contract.

I think it has been mentioned before but the problem we face is that we will be competing with manly for halves especially if the rumours are true that foran is a eel, they'll have a stack of money and will be looking at getting 2 halves

there is, we've missed option A, it would be good to get option B for once rather then end up with scraps like TownsendThere actually are options on the market.
It'll be interesting to see which direction the club takes.
