Bhahahaha new twist.

Now Fox suggesting Titans covered up 5 positive drug tests!

What? You would think they would have found hidden jars of urine in the dunnies or something if that was the case.
Wasn't it meant to be in 2008 or something??? I just caught something briefly on the news, didn't get the full story.

Imagine how many lines of cocaine NRL players would have done since 2008...

Was in 09, however suggests that culture has been in that club since inception.

Also, if a club covered up positive drug tests, even two years before our mess, does this not show poor governance, policies and processes?

Where is their $1 million fine?

Oh wait, NRL own them now

Gold Coast Titans drug scandal: Club hid five positive doping tests after 2007 Mad Monday celebrations

THE Gold Coast are no strangers to players dabbling in illicit drugs on Mad Monday, with the Titans previously netting five positive results the year the club was founded in 2007.

Sport Confidential can reveal Titans management covered-up the results of the in-house testing the day after Mad Monday, which jagged one big-name player and four other members of the club’s NRL roster.

None of the players in question are still employed at the Titans, but all were issued with a written employment warning and fined five per cent of their contracts.

Under the Titans previous management structure, the club decided to covertly target test its entire roster the morning after Mad Monday.

No players were made aware of the impending drug tests, but some became flustered when informed they were about to become subject to a urine test.

Intent on avoiding a public-relations nightmare, the Titans opted to bury the five positive results.

We spoke to one former player who confirmed the results.

None of the players currently charged with drugs supply were at the Titans at the time.

Not really funny.

Just shows how ****ed the NRL is from every level top down to the bottom.

Great sport to watch on TV.

That's about it.

zero tackle is reporting that titans are offering 450k more than manly.
With the thought that it's been said manly couldn't match our offer, as well as the titans figure at about 1.3. We should fall somewhere in the middle then.

Also assuming titans 1.3 could be majority cap space as they surely can't have too many third party options.

Seeing as though the NRL has now joined forces with the Titans if the Titans manage to get him because of the more money they would have received by the NRL I will be absolutely fuming!

Anybody have Smith and/or Greenbergs email?

Reading the Titans have now upped their offer despite being flat broke. If they get him it's a complete joke. Fans of any club in the race, and especially Manly, should be livid.

The NRL funds the entire salary cap for every club though.

how else would they be signing him? they are in crisis. DCE won't evne know who he will be playing with. He's going there for one thing.

They might be broke as a club but it doesnt mean their salary cap changes. They get the same salary cap as every other club. Now if the NRL is giving them extra for DCE then there is an issue but if the Titans are managing the salary cap by themselves then there is no problem.
