Cronulla thrive off these 'end of the line' players. Lance Thompson, Craig Stapleton etc.

and how has that worked out for us in the past... time to move on and stop bringing in players past their prime.. its a simple concept!

Only value costigan would add is experience which we have a lot of and the fact that he could be a body guard of sorts for barba defensively.

The words "Cronulla" & "Thrive" just look so strange in the same sentence.

Always liked nifty Neville, but prior to newy he played in some real good teams, sometimes that makes decent players look real good... Haven't kept up to speed with him for awhile,

At his best he was over rated but a good footballer. He is nowhere near his best. No thanks.

Surely Peachey is our best since ET.

As for Costigan. We don't need another stocky back rower come prop. We have a few of them already. Arona does the same job but is in his prime.

I agree, i also think we are the only team in the Top 8 who keep trying to make second rowers Props mostly they just aint big enough or good enough.

Been harping on about this for ages, sick of bringing on board back rowers and trying to play them at prop. Toops has sorta worked out in that role but he bulked up alot and we have enough depth in the backrow now

Need 1 or 2 genuine harmen

I can then understand IF the rumours about Bird wanting out of his deal with us are true (I personally have no efen idea, just what I've read on here before and hoping they are wrong).

I'd say he was promised a starting spot (most likely centre) and now drops to 3 or 4 behind Beale, SKD (if we get him) maybe even Brown and is then competing with Leutele, Feki, Gagan (although the last two will most likely keep playing on the wings).

I'm hoping he sees himself more of a backrower and knows he is here to replace one of Toops, Hino or Gal (who should be in the front row) for 2016 and beyond.

No matter how good he is, an Under 20s player who has played hardly any first grade or none at all, has no right in my mind to demand things.

If he has a good head on his shoulders and good management support he should realise that even if he's not picked in first grade this year he will have an abundance of chances to learn from good players and show his wares.

Not to keen on Skd, I know he is an international but we have good young talent that can surprise us and opposition, if given a chance. Save some coin for a decent half back. My 2 cents anyway.

Well I live 10 hours away from Cronulla and I have less than no idea of the goings on. I just rely on what I read on the net and social media sites. I have learnt more from this site about the Sharks than from anywhere else.
