You will find Millard is heading to Souths because Ricky didn't want to leave us.

He was approached by Souths but his heart is with Cronulla.

Thank god for that.

In regards to SKD, he is only 26 and has an excellent CV. You are crazy if you do not want a player with his resume here, even if Jack Bird does not like it.

If Bird does not want to wait his chance and he thinks he is bigger than the club, then piss off.

All in all he just needs to wait one year to get a crack if he doesn't this year. I cannot see Heighno going around again, nor Toops, maybe even Gal. He will definately get a good shot if he is patient.

As for 2016, I can definately seeing us going hard for DCE and pulling off the massive signing. I have been sitting down and analysing on this basis:

* Robbo is a gonner - that is a definate
* Heighno will retire, Toops will not get another contract offer IMO
* Depending on how the year goes, Gordon will retire IMO, or move on to another club. If all is positive and he has a stellar season I can see him given a new 2 year deal. Gardner will not be sticking around any longer after this year. 2016 onwards is Valentine Holmes time.

Those 4-5 players removed from the squad alone releases a fair bit of coin to go in hard for DCE.

Add to that the uncertain future of Captain Gal, anything can happen.

We look like a club on the rise, I feel good to be a supporter at this time.

You are wrong that we are the only team that do this.
Brisbane with Parker and Thaiday
Titans with Myles
Dragons with De Bellin, Creagh and Frizell
Just to name a few.

The problem is the lack of genuine, quality front rowers in the game at the moment, so each team has to patch up the best they can.
I think we are not in as bad a position as people think.

The teams and the players you have named aren't exactly setting the world on fire Thaiday does not want to play there and Parker does a pretty good job however he is better used as a backrower.

The drags frontrow of last year are real pussy's and we have had the problem for a few years now. I agree good quality props are hardish to find.

Some have to be home grown. I am no expert but we don't appear to many any in our lower grades that really stand out at this stage.

Those 4-5 players also have to be replaced. It can't all go to DCE.

FFS we have a starting front row of Gallen and Fifita and people are still whinging about the forward pack. Souths had Jason Clark playing as a prop for christ's sake. Running metres is not the problem of our forward pack, moving forward in defense was the problem and Ennis will help address this.

Bakuya isn't a prop

Realise that and probably could do with another prop. I just don't think its a dire as what some are saying. With Bukuya back we now have 6 NRL backrowers if fit will all be in the team- Gallen, Lewis, Heinington, Graham, Tupou, Graham.
These guys will be used at prop, happened last year too.

I'm not opposed to the idea of Heighington having a run at prop.

He consistently runs hard and straight and is one of the better wrestlers in the team in attack (i.e he doesn't get put on his back a lot).

Having Ennis providing the service will be a huge advantage to our mobile pack.

Uh, how much cap space do you think those blokes are getting?

Robbo doesn't get much for a half at all, Gardner is like a 2nd tier contract, Tupou re-signed in 2013 on greatly reduced terms, Heighington I'm not sure about but probably just a moderate contract (In comparison to someone like Graham/Lewis).

I love how all you guys know what the players are getting. Amuses me no ends. Unless you are sitting there with his manager and have read through his contract, you can't possibly know what they are on. All we have are educated guesses, which are sometimes close to the mark but sometimes aren't.

We need to sort these third party agreements and happy days, like the 5 big clubs always room in the cap.

I once found out some reliable information on some footballer's wages. They ended up being way, way lower than what you'd probably expect.

NO, YOUR FACE WAS AN EDUCATED GUESS!

But yeah, when Tupou's contract was like $400k for 5 years and it was published at the time about his contract extension that he took "greatly reduced terms" in the St George/Sutherland Leader article with him and Flanno, the idea that he is still on $350k seems hard to believe.
