Sorry if this has already been mentioned, but SMH journo and known Wests Tigers apologist Michael Chammas is reporting Mitch Moses has knocked back the Tigers (4 years, $5.2m) and will stay at Parra in a long term deal worth $1.25m a season. Will be interesting to see how they juggle their cap with both him and Brown on big new deals.

I would love us to keep Katoa, but if someone else is willing to offer him silly money then I would definitely give him a rousing and respectful send off, wishing him the best. I love Katoa and hope he stays but we don’t need to get in a bidding war with desperate clubs for him. We’ve still got Ikuvalu on the books (a candidate for a new lower value deal for a player that is a proven solid first grader, which would help our cap management) also guys like Stonestreet, Taukamo and Rodwell who are chomping at the bit for an opportunity and will probably be ready for first grade by next season.
Ikuvalu is off contract end of this year also.

Sifa will have to go back to second row or the bench to keep iro long term
I think that’s easy enough, he has a few years of centre in him I’d say but is easily our third choice edge atm (I wouldn’t move him this season unless Iro was showing insane form)

Could almost go reverses Kikau, instead of needing a break in the middle you bring him on for Teig or Brit to just go nuts for 20 minutes. Tell him every set we have the ball you we will work into position for you to take tackle 2 or 3 straight at the half opposite you

Agreed. If we didn't keep Katoa, you can probably get away with bringing Iro in on the wing in 24, and then Stonestreet taking that spot in 25 and Iro moving in. In which case Sifa will have a year to go and in all reality he probably goes elsewhere.

Even then, it may be hard to hold these guys back even that long.
