Whats a 16 year old doing at a night club and why did Curran take his phone. Sounds like a kid acting like a dick learning a lesson.
Got some photo or video of Curran he didn’t want getting around I expect (probably sloppy pissed).

Not sure if they can hold age against Curran criminally given in a licensed venue but certainly adds to it being a very bad look. And presumably the kid would have been much much smaller.

I don’t think it’s Dales age it’s more so Wade as a leader hasn’t been the best for us, he is also very laid back - as a captain you should be setting the standard at training etc it’s not a good look when 3 new players come into your club and they outperform and out train your leaders

we need to move on completely from the last 3-4 years… Wade as a captain will not help that.

We need big changes to take it to that next level and I hope that Wade no longer being captain is one of them

Rant over
100% agree.

Wade is not what is needed for captaincy at the moment.

Paired with the fact that he has and is playing well below average and will be older and slower next year.

Really think the team needs to turn a new leaf…

Mate. It’s not the 80’s. A professional footballer can’t assault a 16 year old kid no matter how much he deserves it. Not only is his career rightfully in jeopardy, but there is a chance he might even do some time.

How do footballers not know better at this point….

Didn't may from the panthers just do the same thing and get 2 weeks for it. Now they say he was 16 but he I don't think Curran asked for his ID while he was punching the **** out of him. Also if the kid was in a nightclub unless someone wasn't doing their job he must have looked over 25.

In saying that I did read that Curran went way over the top so be interesting to see how it plays out. Be a good redemption story how fitz takes him under his wing at the sharks.

The courts wont care that he didnt know he was 16 and if he was calling him mean names or whatever. The fact is that he is 16 and Curran just assaulted a minor. That is a serious charge.

Professional footballers shouldnt need these kind of redempion stories. It shouldnt be this difficult to not assault people. They know everything they can lose professionally yet they are still dumb enough to put themselves in this situation to do it. Clubs and the games management must be tearing their hair out.

Have you seen the size of 16 year old kids lately?
Probably 6’2 squared shouldered with full beard

Some guys know when it’s time - irrespective of age - and some others just try to cling on ..

I think of footballers in the same way as soldiers in some respects. There's a level of brutality that some are far too comfortable with that isn't confined to the field.

I've been listening to the podcast about the Ben Roberts-Smith court case (it's really good btw) and it touches on the toxic SAS culture. League has it's own parallels.

Roster insight: Officially have four roster spots left but the Sharks are close to locking in skipper Wade Graham and outside back Mawene Hiroti to new one-year extensions. Back-up hooker Jayden Berrell also re-signed for a further 12 months. Have not taken up Jensen Taumoepeau’s option. Will keep the two spots open for potential mid-season pick-ups.

Also wondering if Ferris actually make it through this season without further injury ?

I want Klem, but I definitely don't want to end up with him coming here on a fifita like contract that he can't live up to. He's already slowed down significantly from his best.

Hopefully he sees the light and takes a cheaper deal to have a crack at the prem.

Yeah happy to get Klemmer but not sure I want him on an extended deal on big money. For the next 2 years sure but if he wants additional years on that at big money then can see why Fitz would be apprehensive.
