Hiroti: Just turned 23
Jensen: 21 turning 22 in a few months

Hiroti has 21 NRL appearances and 7 tries, Jensen has sweet **** all

In saying that, Hiroti played 2/3 of his games last season at 22

So signs are if Jensen is going to be better than Hiroti he might want to start doing it soon
Hiroti is average and that’s putting it nicely

So you can name people in game squad 24 (because no eligible top 30 players in same position) but once they are in there they are still not eligible to play unless they are all the way into the top17 with nobody ahead of them?

I had assumed if they could fit criteria to be eligible for 24 they could be selected but perhaps not.
This is correct. Extra players in the 24 are injury/covid cover for the eligible players.

Are you sure Ferris is still at the club ?
I don’t think anyone is 100% sure, but late last year the club said he was under contract as T&T, then nrl.com had him listed as a train and trail player in the pre-season, and the sharks web site had a blurb on 22 Jan about him rehabbing and planning to return soon.

Some of his family is one of those facebook groups that the window lickers of our fanbase use and someone asked about Jackson, apparently he’s still at the club.

So the Tigers just signed Sione Fainu from Manly. That might mean they could back of Pele. Or maybe not.
I won't be devastated if we lose Pele but it would be nice to keep him for another year just to see how he develops.

Surely he can see the benefit of playing with guys like Dale and Cam and being coached by Fitz rather than going to a rabble like Wests.

There’s logic in that but look at our pack, along with Kaufusi coming in next season, he’s got a far greater chance of breaking into regular first grade there then he does here.

Oh I agree but at least go to a better club than Wests, that place is a graveyard unless you're an older player on your last contract.

Is it out of the question to shift Nikora to centres instead of Talakai every time?

Talakai knows the position as he played a lot of his footy there and I think he came to us as a Centre???
I don’t think Nikora has played there that often???
So based on that (if I’m right) Talakai is the obvious choice

No, make your case on it

But I think Talakai has a very strong case (former centre, 74 minutes played there extremely well over past 2 games)
