Woulnt mind seeing Iro getting a 1st grade run

Jenson and Jonaiah both ahead of him at this stage I would say.
Iro keeps performing well in Cup though and he might earn a minimum deal since Cini went to Parra.

I'd expect Iro is already on a T&T, and has been for a while. He was in the bubble last year and is training with the NRL squad.

There isn't much difference once you get past the highest paid 26 guys...

NRL Player 27-30 = ~$80k + what you earn from the Jets / sponsors. Can play any time.
Development = ~$60k + what you earn from the Jets / sponsors. Can play from round 11 or any time with permission
T&T = ~$1,000/week + what you earn from the Jets / sponsors. Can play only with permission.

They all train full time with the NRL squad.

I'm certain that is the case, I'd just think with JT being on a full contract the club would give him first crack hoping to see some return in the investment.

Also, terrified just mentioning this, I believe Hiroti was named for the jets this week.

TBF Nikora did have a good game tonight.
Plenty of worthy recipients in the 3-2-1 thread but he was worth considering
He did have a pretty good game. I’d be happy to keep Nikora but if he’s being offered a lot more elsewhere it’s an easy decision.

Hiroti: Just turned 23
Jensen: 21 turning 22 in a few months

Hiroti has 21 NRL appearances and 7 tries, Jensen has sweet **** all

In saying that, Hiroti played 2/3 of his games last season at 22

So signs are if Jensen is going to be better than Hiroti he might want to start doing it soon

It wouldn't be their decision. The NRL won't allow the team to name a dev/T&T player ahead of a healthy top-30 player who has a history of playing in the same position. If you need a centre you have to exhaust your squad first ...

Wilton/Talakai--> Hiroti --> Lualua --> JT --> Dev/T&T player

Probably moot given Ramien is playing and we expect Ronnie back.

I wasn't saying either is better than the other, or atleast I wasn't trying to, just jokingly saying Hiroti is definitely still ahead of JT. Jenson needs to take a leap to the nexr level for sure, I think we've all been waiting for it to happen for a while now but obviously covid situation hasn't helped development.

Yep this was basically what I was trying to say but you're just much more knowledgeable and concise with your posts than me Burgo.

So you can name people in game squad 24 (because no eligible top 30 players in same position) but once they are in there they are still not eligible to play unless they are all the way into the top17 with nobody ahead of them?

I had assumed if they could fit criteria to be eligible for 24 they could be selected but perhaps not.
