I don’t know if he’s looking to stay @ South’s or not but a few weeks back they had injuries in their backline & he still couldn’t get a start either in the centre’s or wing, I get Gagai is leaving but based off selections only recently he’d be no guarantee to get a wing or centre position next season.

Not surprised if he stays at Souths with Gagai leaving. There's a starting spot there for the taking.

Who they got

Mitchell, AJ, Graham, Paulo, Cartwright, Mansour, Marsters*, Milne*, Moga**, Burns**

*CO
**off contract

So Burns probably determined by if they want to take up club options with Marsters/Milne more than anything. If they keep one or both of them it that's probably not a great sign for his prospects there.
On the other hand if they are trying to sign him before deciding on those that is a better sign for him. There may be a deadline by which they had to confirm those, seemed to be common that POs for next year had to be decided by the finalising of the 30 man squad this year so CO may have been same/similar.

we have upped our offer for braidon burns but not confident we will get him

You know if we do end up getting Burns and use him in the centres with Ramien, it’ll be interesting to see how he fits Tracey, Trindall, Moylan and Metcalf into the team. Two would have to miss out, one of which won’t be Tracey considering we just signed the guy to a three year deal.

Hard to predict at this stage.

If Metcalf keeps going the way he is I'd be keeping him in ahead of Tracey.

Early days though.

I don't think we once ran out a full first choice 17 this season so realistically who ever it is who 'misses out' probably will still play half the season. Especially as Moyza will only play half the season himself.

If we ran Moylan Hynes halves and Tracey 14 with Tindall and Metcalf starting the season in Cup as the halves pairing it wouldn't be that much of a shock to me. It was only a couple of weeks ago Trindall had a shocker and people in here were writing him off, him and Metcalf are still developing players (Metcalf literally a development player this year). They may have to wait for an opportunity but have shown they might really grab it when it comes.

That's because people are idiots.

Not really, he was incredibly **** in games we needed him but smashed the Tigers

Sounds like Mitch Moses, who people are really vocal about

Except Mitchell Moses has about 8 years more expierience about 6x the money 2x the forward pack and 4x the halves partner

Moses is in the Billy Magoulias category for rating yourself. Moses is a decent first grader but never steps up in the big games when its needed. Parra should move him on

Burns ideally wants to stay at Souths and is seeing what they come up with. Lets hope our dollars wins out.

neither

look, im ok with giving trindall or metcalf a run next year

trindall deserved his bagging, no one can deny that

if we can upgrade, we should, but we currently have 5 halves contracted next year, a 6th would be over kill

I can’t see the bagging fair for what he had to play with in those two off games he had but also for what it’s worth - with the upgrades coming to the club I think Trindall or Metcalf are going to have a killer year next year..

The bagging was fair for the particular game, what I'm saying is people are writing off his entire career based on that. Those people are idiots.

I called him out for his poor quality over those games. But, now I look back at it, the kid overplayed himself in those games, especially when he had a 5/8th that did nothing.

With barely any leadership within the team and a coach who is pretty much a substitute teacher, I don't have massive expectations on Trindall.
