Weidler on Haas again in his column today, I don't see why the Broncos should fork out more $$ if Haas was stupid enough to sign for unders

yep I dont like it, its really not the Broncos problem. But the players hold the power dont they.

I always think of DCE in these situations (as well as Maloney signing with us). DCE signed a 5 year deal with Manly when he first went there, then after 1 year demanded a massive pay rise because of how good he went. When he originally stated the 5 year deal was good as it secured him a future at the club....Maloney the same. Signed with us for 3 years over Roosters who offered 2. Then after a great season demanded a payrise then dropped his lip, played like ass then got his release.

Clubs get screwed over in this regard IMO
They sign a prospect, who wants that long term deal, its obviously got annual salary increases included also. He then believes he is worth more so it becomes an issue of pay him more or you are the bad guy. How the **** are clubs meant to manage salary caps with that kinda ****.

Coach Nathan Brown has touched on this situation .

What he said is true. It is impossible to sign a player that works out to be a good deal for the club . They just immediately agitate for more money or a release etc …
