No harm in having a bet each way with an experienced professional from Wigan in Bateman and also Magoulias, one of the best young home grown developed talents. Competition can be healthy.

Very excited if we get Bateman with him being a Bradford lad like myself!!

As a Bradford fan we have a decent record of bringing through good forwards who have made it in the NRL, all 3 Burgess boys came from our club as well as Elliot Whitehead. Bateman played for us at same time as Whitehead and I always thought he was the better player. He played for us at 17 and you could tell he was class as soon as we saw him - hard as nails and had a nice step, swerve that takes him past opposition defenders. He left us and went to Wigan where I believe he has blossomed. Don’t watch much Super League these days as my Bulls have been relegated and no longer play in that division!!!

Definite backrower even though England played him left centre in the World Cup - that’s simply as England has no decent left centres!!!

Really hope we sign him - would be a dream to see a Bradford lad in the black, white and blue!!!!

You have no idea. This guy is a serious talent.did you see some of those balls he popped! Flannel needs to find a place for him. Katoa, Ramien and uele all looked v.good also.

yeah did well, playing against other graduating 20s players

It’s exciting to watch these guys play. There’s certainly potential there. But they need more game time against seasoned NRL professionals.

As we know, playing in this competition is bloody hard. You need to be consistent week in, week out.

None of them including Katoa are ready for first grade in my opinion. Katoa is fast, exciting, has a great step and swerve and knows his way to the try line. But defensively, he’s not quite there yet.

I think more than likely Flanno will go with this line up for our backline at Round 1:

Holmes
Feki
Dugan
Leutele
Gray
Moylan
CT.
