For sure, It's something that I've always been jealous of sides like the Broncos doing. They seem to bring through so many good wingers because they are willing to take a chance (I realise there is more to it than that).

Katoa is ready for firsts.

Those 2 tries he conceded he was completely isolated with little to no help from his inside men. Hardly a reason to not put him in when nearly anyone in his position would have been scored on too.

He’s electric and exciting and has X factor. Not to mention a fantastic finisher which we will need since feki isn’t.

I mean did you not see the run he made to score that was called a knock on? He beat so many blokes with genuine speed and natural ability.

Having seen the replays of the Manly tries mate, I think I'm willing to concede it wasn't all that bad.
And like we've said, if Dugan is alongside him, he'll get plenty of protection.

There's no doubt he's exciting. The try he scored and the one Checcin said he dropped were pure class. You don't have to convince me on the attacking side.
As long as he works on his defence, then I'd have him Round 1.

When Flanno was first quoted as saying that Katoa had his nose in front for a starting spot on the wing I thought that he was just trying to put a rocket up the other contenders and that Katoa might get a crack later in the season.

The way things are panning out I think that Flanno has his mind set to start with Katoa now. Very exciting stuff, can't wait to see him in action in round 1.

It’s a nobrainer. He did some amazing things you can’t coach. Flanno isn’t stupid like some of you who don’t think he is ready.

Agree, we have an experienced team, Blood him round 1 I say. Remember several years back Holmes and Bird were kept out for the first few weeks, they should have been in round 1, same scenario.

He’s actually signed through 2019. Obviously he could get out of the second year if he wanted to, but I can’t see St Helens releasing him for this season. He’s only a couple of games in after serving his suspension.
