I cannot blame him , moving back near his family on big money most would take it.

Also that type of money at the sharks he would be expected to bring in a premiership, at the Titans well umm retirement is retirement and it is one of the capital retirement areas of Australia.

Good on him, would have hated for him to come to us just because of the money.

How did we fail? We offered him the richest deal in our history. Failing would have been going into a bidding war, missing out meanwhile the other off contract guys sign elsewhere. We're now in a position to shop

Spot on. Many clubs know we have the cash now and since we didn't get DCE, it'll have a flow on effect on player market hugely.

Sounds like DCE is not well liked by the playing group at the mo.
It will be interesting to see if Manly's forward pack allow DCE to get creamed by some big hits in the up coming games.

I can hear the commentators now "DCE looking to off load but there are no support runners".

His forwards sitting back waiting for the opposition bigger boppers to smash him! Exciting times ahead maybe???

In your head, rent free
its a shame, but we cant say he took the money and ran. our money was just as good, our deal was just as long

in the end he thought the Titans were a brighter prospect for him.

we now have to move fast on a half, still plenty to choose from

We competed hard along with a couple of other clubs and we didn't win out. Move on to the next target. We should be thinking about Sandow IMO.

Sandow won't leave parra now.

I still think Maloney and sezer are our best chances. I don't think hodkinson will leave the dogs either.

Stop blaming the NRL & Titans - we didn't front up with the cash required to secure the biggest talent in the game plain and simple

And if you are going to use salary cap and depth as an excuse I already have my counter argument ready

Is there a lot of wrist slitting? I remember it being pretty bad in here when Fifita signed for the Dogs.

Yeah not the end of the world.....

Still a number of other halfs on the market that should be able to get the job done with the right pack around them (that would cost considerable less)

Even if there was no under the table non cap payments. Doesn't everyone still have a problem with the Nrl ensuring individual clubs get players they couldn't ordinarily afford?

If an NRL run club goes over the salary cap.... do they fine themselves and slap themselves on the wrist?

Too right.

Grab either Sezer or Moloney or maybe Hodgo... then with the change see if Kata is interested in crossing the Tasman. Let's start 2016 with Kata and Bird in the centres.

Kata looks the absolute goods to me.

It's bad over there. Hilarious for everyone else though. They are already bagging his name out and all the things they've probably heard over the years they are now using on him haha

Seriously us over fifita is nothing compared to this, want toovey sacked, the board and whole club is a mess, massive re building stage.

It was only 2 weeks ago they were saying they'll be premiership contenders no matter what happens and acting so smug, it literally makes me cry with joy.

It's all because of the salary cap and depth

IMO he went to the Titans because he could be the main attraction. The Sharks have Gal, Graham, Ennis Etc. A lot of mature heads that would put him in his place. Up there he has free reign & only has to deal with drug suppliers and his bum buddy Queenslanders.
