Exactly DCE would be great but Hodkinson, Sezer or Maloney would all be very good options.

Hodkinson would be a much better fit than AK, we already have a gun running half in Barba however we lack organisation and a good kicking game both of which Hodkinson would be very good for.

I hear what you are saying, but still believe you can have two off the cuff players in the halves, with the right team around them. I'm not fixated on the one of each type philosophy.

Robson is berated for years and then some on here will accept nothing less than a superstar half to replace him, fug me

Yes he needs to be replaced but if that isn't DCE it's far from the end of the world, we could still snag someone far superior to Robson.

LOL at those that think Hoginkson is just a younger Robbo - no idea

Pretty much, if getting rid of Robbo means we have to sign Daniel Mortimer i'd be cheering haha.

DCE is top of the list, then add the NSW halfback Hodkinson, Maloney, Sezer, Sandow.

There is what 3 maybe 4 high quality halves on the market, maybe 5 or 6 you would call high quality but maybe not command more than half a mil. There is 16 clubs. Think Broncos wont go after DCE with a cheque book the NRL dont know about? Its hard to tell whats going on with Manly as the reporters seem to make their assumptions and print them. They say they are waiting for DCE to see what his 'good friend' foran does before making his decision. Could this mean if Foran leaves DCE may want to leave as well but if he stays DCE might be more inclined to stay too. People think its money, if Forans leaves then manly will offer DCE more, but they wont be stupid too and offer him 1.2-1.3 mil a year you wouldnt think. If we are matching or a little bit more than Manlys offer then he might want to leave Manly as a side that is crumbling 1 player at a time. We could be in the drivers seat. LG and Flanno need to get their best dick sucking lips on though you would think

I think a halves make up of any two of Barba/Sandow/Kelly would not be ideal. It'd be entertaining, and on their day they'd have the potential to blow up a scoreboard. On the other days though it could get rough and I reckon those rough days would out number the good ones. The best halves can think their way through a match and turn on the brilliance once the work is done. Consistency would be the biggest issue.

Love to have DCE, but his manager wants him to stay at Manly if they pay what he wants. They will pay him that for sure if Foran leaves which is a big chance. Our best chance would to act fast and now as the new Manly CEO plays everything by the book and is taking his sweet time offering DCE the right deal.

Whilst it's a good idea and would be ideal. This little baby will be milked for all it worth by his manager who will want his head in the papers and on the tele as much as possible. I'm
Not sure there will be a offer big enough out there to rush them (dce camp) into a decision. I'd rather do to the Titans what they did to us re- dougy and fling real good coin at and get a comiment of sezer.

Has Sezer completed a season yet? If flinging coin at him I'd reserve a bit for a backup.

Worst case scenario, if we can't get a top-tier halfback, have faith in Ricky Stuart's ability to screw a relationship with a halfback - Cornish might become available, young but the style of player that would suit us.

Huh? Are you suggesting he's injury prone?

Debuted Rd 7, 2012 - Played every game that season after debut.
2013 - Played 22 games out of possible 24, missed Rd 5/6 in that season.
2014 - Played 13 games out of 24.

53/66 is not a bad percentage of misses. Especially when the majority of missed games last season were from an impact injury (Pectoral).

This is almost a given. He showed signs last year dropping the kid or keeping him benched when I thought it was obvious to give the kid more opportunities.

I guess I was suggesting he's a bit inclined to an injury, but you've cleared that up. Cheers.
