Metcalf hamstring strain

In doubt to be available round 1 so likely any chance of him starting in their FB jersey is gone pending CNK form struggles
That's a shame. Was genuinely looking forward to seeing him get the no 1 and see what he could do

Wonder what they are paying Douehi. I still think there's something there about him. In a good team who knows?

I always feel like he has one foot out the door of that club, which is a strange thing to post when he just signed a new contract, but I just feel like he isn’t overly happy there and is keeping his options open after this season.

I get that. Doesn't help he kind of feels like a bad mix with Brooks, Brooks could use someone who takes more responsibility off him like Hastings at 7 did.

Everyone is a bad mix with Brooks unfortunately. Mitchell Moses was especially bad with him. The common denominator is Brooks.

I think Douehi would be a good fit for the Dolphins or Warriors. They could really use a player like him.

Watch James Graham pod with Mark Bouris. I haven't watched it all yet but first 20+ he'll give an insight that they offer a lot more, a lot more professionally & above board than the simple dodgy **** you're talking about.

Roosters do have an edge, but its not from dodgy business, its from exceptional business.
It's possible the roosters structure players salaries differently, giving them an edge. Using trusts to pay them. I know if you work for one of the big four accounting firms at a reasonably senior level, they manage your entire finances. They take over all your money so it can be structured to avoid tax, using trusts. Its also possible the Roosters use offshore money. Poilitis is in a class of wealth that means he has money offshore in tax havens. They all do. "Exceptional business" is always playing by different rules to the rest of us. Once you have money in those places you can do what you like. My guess is the roosters use off shore accounts to provide money paid upon retirement to a select few of their elite players, which allows legitimate cap money to be thrown at guys like Dom Young. Thats why they always have a small group of players who never leave the club.

Few of those St Helen’s players will no doubt have a bit of interesting coming from nrl clubs.

Alex Walmsley is exactly the type of player we need. From memory multiple nrl clubs have tried and failed to get him here.
