There is only so safe you can play it around not signing a player in case they have a serious career impacting injury. He’s also one serious knee injury away from losing his biggest threat. Speed. If he loses that then he’ll just become a below average winger.
I dunno, I'm not sure I'd want to be giving away 80cm to my opponent in the second row. There is only so safe you can play it around not signing a player in case they have a serious career impacting injury.
Even if he was a touch slower he still has some great physical attributes, he'd just need to learn to use them better. Or he could look at building some size and moving positions - Lane is 198cm 110kg, Young 120cm 107kg
Happy to keep our guys and not enter the bidding war for him though

For now… I’d rather prepare dykes to take over from Moylan and sign Critter or SuailiiI'd rather give Dykes a pathway at fullback anyway assuming that's where we see his future.
Who's Critter? For now… I’d rather prepare dykes to take over from Moylan and sign Critter or Suailii
We don't even know if he can play FB smhCan't believe we let Miller go to sign Crichton.
This happened 4-5 weeks ago. Dogs have offered around 900k a year across 4 years. Or close to it. Ridiculous money as I don’t rate Crighton that high. Good player but he’s not an elite player.crichton has informed penrith he is leaving, have to imagine its for stupid money at centerbury to be an average fullback
From Penrith website post today "Penrith Panthers can confirm that the club was notified overnight by Stephen Crichton’s management group that he will be seeking opportunities elsewhere in 2024."This happened 4-5 weeks ago. He's also only 22. 900k is a big gamble, but I'm not writing him off yet. This happened 4-5 weeks ago. Dogs have offered around 900k a year across 4 years. Or close to it. Ridiculous money as I don’t rate Crighton that high. Good player but he’s not an elite player.
Edwards is 27... If Crichton wants fullback at the Panthers that's possibly a 5 year waitHe's also only 22. 900k is a big gamble, but I'm not writing him off yet.
TIL every international team is called the KangaroosCrichton goes with the money surely. He’s won GF’s, played origin and kangaroos. What’s left? I reckon the Dolphins will go over the top and get him. He could get 1.2 mill a year for 4 years and be set. Then he’s still young enough to take a pay cut and chase more titles.
To play where?Talk of Suallii shoppin himself around 24 onwards, would love to see us have a crack at him
