Am with Egg…..not assuming he is gone, however, even at 650k I am a bit meh!

If he doesn’t want to sign and is going to continue trying to milk top dollar (despite players like Mulitalo quite possibly taking slightly lesser money to stay) I would be putting a deadline on the extension offer and start hunting someone else to sign.

I get the feeling that between Iro, Mulitalo and Tracey a more then capable replacement can be found and 650k. Could be well spent elsewhere on a player who would be more involved.

I think Morris signed him at $500 on potential (based on his experience with working with him previously and where he expected him to be).

$650 is a similar offer.
Jesse has grown as a player but not hit his ceiling yet.

Maybe the next contact is also based on “potential” (but from a higher base line now as he has improved since last contract and is expected to become an “elite” centre)
