Well I think him being caught cheating and his missus leaving him with their daughter and staying in QLD was probably the major factor in this case.

Presumably if they stay together she+daughter moves to NZ with him

It's an interesting recruitment tactic but I can't say for certain that who he cheated with wasn't being paid by Broncos...
Ah I didn't realise he'd been caught screwing around.

Not sure where the Tapine talk came from, but you get him if you can.

Since Nikora was 'signed and sealed to stay', we have re-signed Williams, BHU, Hazleton and supposedly that young Tapau. If some of these bigger players are an option, I hope we take Brit's contract off the table. Or atleast threaten to do it and lock him up for less.

And Colquhoun too

Definitely don't seem to be rushing pen to paper with Nikora.

Could be a hangup as we look at other options, or while we try convince him not to take other options. What Wade is doing could have some impact here too. If Wade doesn't stay maybe we can move into the market for a Angus Crichton or something instead.

Yeah skipped him as I'm still haven't got the spelling down and Burgo is ruthless.

It's almost been 2 months since he supposedly knocked back the tigs and was set to extend. He hasn't exactly set the world on fire since then. Getting Crichton would be incredible, and would really round out our pack.

He is isn't he haha I'm not even sure what I'm doing wrong anymore.
I've decided Jesse Colquhoun is the problem not me.

Taupau is a centre.

He could end up moving to the forwards though I guess. Plays some back row.

Re the Tapine question many posts ago, a huge Yes for me with a capital Y, as others alluded to, he’s right up there in the top 5 forwards world wide.
Our team is screaming for a few key elements to make us a legit chance in the next season or two & he fits the bill for one of the elements.

I said ages ago, we need to be prudent with who we either re sign or sign with a view to not overspending one dollar on those type of players, for every dollar we are prudent on allows us to have a crack & pay accordingly to the right sort of signing, this guys it.

We could even get creative with offering his Missus a coaching role with us as well, she has some firm ideas on who should be starting & starting on the bench in her hubby’s team 😉

Tapine would be our best forward by a country mile. But I don’t think we got the money to make it happen unfortunately.
