Although I like Brown, I am not sure he is who we need since signing McInnes. I would probably target a prop like Paul Vaughan to partner BHU and keep Toby at lock. In saying that at the right price, would happily take brown.

I think Toby starts at lock and finishes the game at prop with McInnes playing from the Bench and spending 60 minutes at lock and small minutes at hooker when needed.
Getting on a bit with age now but I’d still take him.

Not sure what our offer is but hard for him to pass up 6 or 10 yr deals.

You rightly called out “mute point” a while back in this thread, so I offered up that Reynolds might be signed in “one foul swoop” hoping to wind you up. It is of course, “one fell swoop”.

True, but Woods, Tolman and Fifita are all past their best and Tapau is an upgrade on all of them, particular with the new speed of the game.

True. Wonder how much he'd cost.
He is but at a couple years younger and cheaper (depends how much cheaper I guess) I'd be inclined to let Manly keep Tapau and go after Brown.
Tapau is a year older than Woods, year younger than Fifi and two years younger than Tolman. If they are all past their prime how far off can he possibly be?
There'd be a reason Manly would want to move off a favourite like him just to replace with another buy (different story if it was internal replacement).
