Played through injury all year. 2017 scored a try every game he played at FB.
What are the alternatives? Dugan? Flanagan?
AJ is a weapon

I just recall watching him hovering around the ruck a lot but never get involved. Souths played a very different style though.

I'm not a fan of "who else is available" as a recruitment philosophy.

If that's the way we go I'll back him.

Flanno should be our top priority signing right now.

Think Johnson should be our focus. Him and chad as out 7 and 6.

Only issue is apparently Moylan doesn’t want to play fullback. Unsure how true that is. If not happy for him to be our number 1.

That would be good but pretty sure part of Moylans dramas at Penrith were because he wanted to play five eighth, then it escalated from there. He also seemed to be making big strides last season, think he will only get better and better in that position.

People saying Johnstons injury prone but Johnson’s had his fair share of injury problems as well

AJ is quality. I don't think he has found himself at south's, but in the right team he would be a top tier player.

Picking up Johnson would be like picking up Carney.

All the talent but less the monumental ****wit tag that comes with him.
If Val goes. Go after him I say!

Don’t rate Alex Johnson, no involvement and no impact, definitely don’t see him as a game breaker/ world beater.

Shaun Johnson whilst inconsistent for mine worth the risk

I could see either AJ or SJ doing well for us... or failing dismally.
I think SJ is less of a risk but will have mediocre games where we lose because our half does nothing... and other games we win because he steps 5 people and scorers or assists.

In saying that my preference for halves is Moylan to stay, he really started to look good, so SJ is a no from me. I can't imagine Flanno replacing Chad pushing his own son another spot back.

AJ would have to come reasonably cheap to be worth the risk and if he doesn't make the team he doesn't make the team.
